NYT’s “scary” play-by-play of Bitcoin + crypto industry folks supporting Trump over Biden.

They try to create a parallel to FTX…without reminding their readers of the paper’s obvious deification of SBF + his EA ventures, plus FTX’s coziness with SEC…

I wrote about the obvious FTX shenanigans in Sept. 2022 btw

https://insidesources.com/the-hold-on-the-trillion-dollar-crypto-trade-leaves-it-vulnerable/

But the only way this was blown wide open wasn’t because of the SEC, the FTC, or Congress (who SBF spent a lot of money to influence) — it was the intrepid investigative journalism done by CoinDesk.

Even when that was clear, the SEC and DOJ dragged their feet and refused to do anything.

NYT still praised him as long as he was pushing the Effective Altruism cult

CHAT CONTROL:

Police agencies in Europe have the means at their disposal to crack down on illegal content and behavior, and they should be empowered to do so.

However, that cannot come at the expense of our own privacy, and our ability to seek out privacy-enhancing technologies that have become vital to our way of life, our relationships and commerce, and how we safeguard our individual rights.

At BTC Prague this week, I found myself doing a lot of nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg shilling. People love that they can already use fedimints, lightning, or on-chain, or just lighting if they want.

Pour les francophones, my French translation should be in the next release :)

Does NASCAR nostr exist or should I create it

Yes that's great. I spent a good amount when I bought it, but I consider it sunk cost anyway. I learned a lot, understood more how pools work, and got an idea about future plans for maximizing energy input while saving costs. Happy to offload to support the network elsewhere

I have an Antminer T15. Works great. Would like to sell, only because the electricity costs in Austria are just too massive.

Every mining company person I've met say they don't buy ASICs from plebs.

Maybe a pleb in the EU here is interested?

What are the nostr marketplaces out there?

“Is T-Mobile mining #bitcoin?”

With a chest full of fckng pride, I like to let you in on a little secret: We will engage in digital monetary photosynthesis soon.”

Learning that Deutsche Telekom (which partly owned by the German state and owns T-Mobile US) is actively running bitcoin lightning nodes and may soon mine as well has to be one of the most bullish news to come out of nostr:npub167n5w6cj2wseqtmk26zllc7n28uv9c4vw28k2kht206vnghe5a7stgzu3r

Last year, I wrote a model bill that legally and constitutionally restricts state governments from requiring, testing, or adopting CBDCs.

It has so far been signed into law by 3 governors, and it's been introduced in 3 other state legislatures.

My team and I at Consumer Choice Center are working on open-source Bitcoin policy and always looking for contributors and fellow policy people to help out.

I’ve seen many nostr:npub1cn4t4cd78nm900qc2hhqte5aa8c9njm6qkfzw95tszufwcwtcnsq7g3vle speeches, but this one at nostr:npub167n5w6cj2wseqtmk26zllc7n28uv9c4vw28k2kht206vnghe5a7stgzu3r is pretty exceptional.

A deep dive examination of proof of work, praise to the genius of nostr:npub1qg8j6gdwpxlntlxlkew7eu283wzx7hmj32esch42hntdpqdgrslqv024kw's hashcash algo, and a novel linguistic construction for hardening Bitcoin’s rare qualities.

In the world of limitless digital and virtual data, POW makes Bitcoin one of the only true, real things in cyberspace

I was quoted in this article on Ripple’s political lobbying in DC.

The editors cut out my part about XRP’s illogical and immoral funding campaign for Greenpeace’s attacks on Bitcoin mining, but I at least got to mention that they’re trying to sway regulators to protect their bags and pump their token without any promise of innovation.
