If someone you knew and trusted suddenly claimed to be abducted most ppl wouldn’t believe them and assume they went crazy even if it were true.
And did we invent or acquire it?
I think if someone was shown a real alien spaceship inoperatable most would say it is a film prop or rationalize it as a fake. It’s hard for people to believe other beings have visited earth and maybe continue to do so.
