nostr:npub1qjs4nk76kdfgv70m822jddgd5ujghszd2nptlntw8lpvrk5c60ys77p9uj Makes sense - admittedly my hardware chops need some beefing up.
Thanks for the info!

nostr:npub1llk25g23gz8730t2qk49y36yyttl5t284mshej0ylmdptuvv4mssjmztah Probably a good call there - caught a bit of bias background in a short jaunt into cognitive linguistics, but could do with a deeper dive.

(just kidding)
fwiw, Defcon 30's Misinfo Village was a hoot, I think you would've liked it.

Any good books out there on disinformation or misinformation?
(Already reading Thomas Rid's 'Active Measures')
nostr:npub1qjs4nk76kdfgv70m822jddgd5ujghszd2nptlntw8lpvrk5c60ys77p9uj I knew Bitlocker wasn't nation-state hard to defeat, but didn't know it was *this* easy.
Bypassing Bitlocker with a Logic Analyzer
c'mooooon it can't be this easy, can it?

C'mon Apple, do something interesting.
Folding phones are viable now. I get that you don't wanna seem like you're emulating a competitor so how about this: an iPhone 15 model that *blossoms* out from one regular phone screen into small tablet size?
nostr:npub1dtxg4q2lwqf0j342ua5205qalguzpj4lq3s0zm99z7ftpjgt269sfcahel Have you found Ivory worth the subscription price? In one sense it irks me, but I suppose if it supports continuing development...
Proton AG has open-sourced its new password manager apps and browser extensions, and completed an independent security audit.
Honestly thrilled with Proton's trajectory.

(Reminder: I'm just a happy paying user, no other ties to Proton - I just want to ease more people into pro-privacy and pro-security web services.)
Oh man. This cements my love for Obsidian even more.
nostr:npub1gu5zr0nnv5wlc3cj4jwv6nvxaye5q0fm4ug82uypt24tmf44djaqudmzsp I am sorry he's got it so hard. I'm wicked sensory-involved, so if you ever have questions, I'm happy to try and answer from my perspective.
sigh
Dad (retired, elderly) left his iphone in a Lyft this morning. Driver picked up when I called it, said they'd bring it back... 6 hours ago.
No longer picking up. Tried to be patient but filed a support ticket with Lyft a few hours ago, who haven't responded.
Unfortunately Dad has none of the account credentials for either tracking the phone or signing into Lyft for quicker support, and it looks like the driver has ghosted.
Luckily, phone is under my plan, and insured, so this'll soon just be an annoyance, but I'm kinda tempted to go hunt this driver down for how Dad feels about it.
Ah lovely, National Grid sending out notification of a third-party breach thanks to a vendor that used MoveIT

To be clear, the suspicious domains above aren't connected to the Chinese regional DNS resolver warning.
I'm gonna point people smarter than me at that to hunt down and peer at, but it's surely not good.
