You need to be a certain level of selfish in order to be seen.
You also need to be a certain level of selfless in order to create something worth seeing.

I eventually need to work on this idea or re-design the concept. At the time of writing, my appreciation for nostr was somewhere else entirely

i fixed it. it happened because my computer is cooked

I met this nice girl and now I don’t wanna work 24/7 anymore 😂
I decided to be an adult and turned on light mode

has anyone dealt with the " Error: Not enough relays received the event" issue before? I'm thinking it's probably a minor detail that I'm missing somewhere

it's one of those loony waking hour weeks where I try to fix my sleep schedule again. we're going from sleeping at 7-8 AM to sleeping at 8-9PM 😂 🥲
Dogfooding nostr is a pretty enjoyable process. It feels good to replace stuff knowing that the authentication system is a network rather than a server.
I can see why there was an interest to have a nostrified version of Github.
Yeah, it was pretty much inspired by the cash taps that Board Walk Cash implemented and zaps on nostr.
Basically you can create cashu tokens based on significant events, like watch time on educational videos or answering questions correctly.
Long term this would all kind of happen in the background so that schools can connect classrooms together. It would require implementing wallets more thoroughly so that folks have better control over payment flows.
Right now what I have is a super naive and pretty constrained prototype of the idea.
I came up with the idea while studying math in school and feeling like an enormous amount of social work was being done in the act of studying math, but there was nothing to represent that besides some obscure transcript. One way to encourage good quality education is just to add more meaningful consequence to the act of learning, but that's only one of many things required to motivate students.
Cashu works great for this because the onboarding experience is basically seamless. Most young Americans are already pretty savvy with Cash App and are eager to see more use cases with Cash App's Bitcoin environment. I was always more or less looking for that one thing that made it easy for folks to essentially embed cash app into app experiences as a result.
We are chest deep in the reaction economy. The attention economy ended some time ago.
A lot of it was really a fault of TikTok. It’s going to get uglier before it gets better in my experience.
Yeah it’s a slopfest. Now that everything tries to pay out for engagement, everyone eventually starts to hamster feel reactionary information or interest bait.
Very little intention and a lot of bad entertainment
Major reset

If you want to build an education progressive web app with nostr, cashu, AI, and bilingual support, you’re welcome to fork over the code I have for https://program-ai.app
All you simply have to do is change the content.js file to modify the set of questions and include a .env file with a Firebase and openAI key.
Currently the platform allows you to create:
- multiple choice
- drag & drop order
- open ended text
- open ended code
- open ended conversation review
- AI powered voice input
- text to voice
- AI generated lecture notes per question
You also get simple features like the ability to define your streaks and adaptive learning so AI can assist you based on progress.
The reason it’s open is because I like the idea of being able to create scholarships with learning, which is far beyond the capacity of any single individual or organization, and I think it’s a nice incentive to get people off of algorithm apps and onto decentralized networks.
One of the biggest things that Instagram does that Twitter doesn't do is self-destructing posts. The only reason a lot of people use instagram is essentially to post content in a low-stakes way.
Twitter could easily do this by allowing an auto-deleting post after a certain time, rather than redoing stories in profiles, but they don't for some reason.
