Yeah exactly. But nostr is web development beyond corporate tolerances. At least in 2024. So folks are kinda risk adverse despite the massive UX gains.
Nostr single handily made my business competitive. A lot of people straight up canāt comprehend that an auth system literally comes with a network effect
Yeah a lot of it is kinda redundant. There isnāt a lot of innovation over web development anymore. Folks still argue things like PHP vs React or serverless vs servers. I guess that makes sense given the corporate capture.
It would be cool to see devs at Block dogfood nostr. One of the few reasons I use X is because of the moat it has over software developers

Twitter has a really strong moat over the tech community
Theyāre probably not your network if you canāt email or text their phone. People use X because they believe it has a moat on their network. Itās mostly a simulation of one.
You donāt have to be an asshole. Iāve been self employed because of social media for a year and Iām in the process of onboarding thousands of people to nostr.
But yeah fuck you, and Iāll end the convo with you here.
Deleting my social media accounts to dogfood nostr isn't realistic when you're not wealthy enough to not extract value from social platforms
I want to not use other platforms like X and Instagram but honestly my network online isn't strong enough to support not creating content on those platforms.
One thing nostr has helped me when it comes to UX is remembering to do things the right way, rather than the most engaging way. The word āengagementā seems to have changed in its meaning, mostly reflecting āto be addictiveā

Things move uncomfortably slow at times and I Iām far too close to failure, but Iām still grateful for everything Iāve learned so far.
God bless this community, Iāve become a much better engineer and entrepreneur because of it.
#asknostr are you interested in learning how to code using a nostr native platform?
I finally got folks using nostr⦠just during the replyguy invasion era š

Instead of posting MRR, I post how many people I've introduced to nostr. So far in the past 30 days, I can reasonably conclude that I've introduced at least 150 new accounts!

Would be cool if we could get Mark Cuban on nostr.
Itās kind of annoying how financially motivated folks are.
Feels like people donāt want to learn how to code anymore.
Introduced nostr to 70 people in the past 7 days : - )
