And if AI is destroying software, software engineering salaries would collapse, but they aren’t.
So there are two grifts here telling you the opposite thing:
“learning how to code isn’t worth it, because of AI.”
It has also been two years since people have been asking “will AI replace developers?”
Yet two years later, the people to have benefited the most from AI are software engineers and college students.
A lot of people are waking up to the reality that selling the dream that you can replace a software developer to build your ideas is a scam.
New onboarding experience
I wish the button on the right was an App Store

There are few things more valuable than independence and an earned reputation
Being an honest character is pretty noble because it requires a recognizable amount of sacrifice.
I think I hated social media for a while because it’s so easy to skip steps on projecting your character. There’s so much to gain if you just say and show the things people want to see and hear.
But eventually the scale tips, you can project your character the right way, and have your conscience at rest too.
Yeah exactly. Reels and TikTok don’t allow this for users and X demotes links, unless you’re a business account paying in some way or another.
The reason I bring it up is because these platforms want to maximize time spent on the feed and they know that having to redirect users off the feed causes friction with CTAs or saying link in bio, and that eventually reduces the quality of a lot of business content
Do you think being able to open up an in app browser inside of reels/stories is a good idea? It’s one of my biggest gripes with TikTok/instagram, and nostr being an embeddable web app experience makes videos/stories/posts kinda awesome distribution wise.
Instagram has it for stories only for some reason
I think reinventing stuff may be the wrong direction sometimes. With zaps, or just modern fintech in general, there are totally new experiences that are afforded that couldn’t be captured by older web experiences.

Learning about web push notifications today. Pretty cool.

Being unfollowed by nostr devs is kinda whack honestly but whatever
Shipped a scholarship searching agent for a scholarship tracking platform. Still needs a little work and maybe some deeper engineering in the future but pretty cool honestly.
it's the sales part that makes me want to radicalize
I do this here on #LearnWithNostr @ https://robotsbuildingeducation.com
Works pretty well but pretty exhausting to balance engineering, design, marketing and sales.
I feel like the correlation between sales jobs and drug abuse is relevant. I’ve never hated my life more until entrepreneurship mostly became a matter of sales.
I’ve created a new onboarding flow for my education app. Most people (these days) on social media want people to sell them a dream, usually a lifestyle and salary, which pressures edtech creators like myself to become gurus and coaches. Many people recognize that playbook as dishonest or shallow.
Additionally, edtech competes with social media for attention and retention, and edtech badly loses. This causes apps like Duolingo to feel like you’re learning, but it’s really just a game.
So the promise is you’ll learn how to code in 30 days in a way that feels manageable - 3 questions per day.
The reality is most people don’t make it past 20 seconds in a video, nor do they make it past 20 days of a 100 day journey. Likewise, people don’t make it past the first 20 questions in an education app.
So 3 questions per day, with key insight and awareness provided before the journey ever starts.
I feel like I developed something really beautiful with nostr but I don't have the energy or spirit to promote. A lot of market stuff is honestly just some combination of luck, timing and consistency.
Well either way, I'm pretty proud of what I've created even if it largely goes unseen.
