Setting up sprinklers for the avocado farm & talking about the behavioral differences between nostr and TikTok users
I’ve noticed that more successful people on nostr reply an order of magnitude more than post. I mostly post because I’m kinda just slopping notes and don’t spend too much time on social media but it makes sense to me - nostr is an interactivity/old school approach rather than an influencer/algorithm approach

One of my favorite things about nostr is being able to put a layer over social media with pretty much instant onboarding. A lot of people don’t know that things like Google auth are disabled on Instagram and TikToks web browsers

Thanks for the encouragement. I think I’m gonna make it something like “I liked your post a lot. You can access my education app for free with the passcode XYZ (normally $10)”
That way it’s an advertisement but also a genuine reward.

How do we feel about adding websites to zap notes? is that annoying or in bad taste or a good use of zap advertising?

I recently moved to rural Mexico and work on a family avocado farm. We use solar panels, gravity and electricity to power the irrigation system. I'm getting curious about the intersection of of Bitcoin mining and renewable energy - do you folks have any resources that you would particularly recommend so I can learn more about that side?
First day working on an avocado farm & beginning the transition off US stress and into Bitcoin x nostr #puravida
Ross having a 2011 legend badge is pretty legendary lol

Big bro would have had fun here 😢

Rural Mexico is dope. My content feels better for most folks but I don’t like crossposting here much unless it makes sense to share here too
Odd day where I feel super unmotivated and uninspired to work on anything
The technical debt created by LLMs are overestimated. At a certain point, most LLM generated code made by software engineers essentially amounts to having success to a super fast type writer. Where most bugs get created, LLM or not, is during the modeling of software.
You can also grab whatever code accumulated and ask for it to be refactored to your specification.
Drop the vibe. Just coding. It's cleaner.

Really worked on some Bitcoin software in the morning and worked on an avocado farm into the evening wearing a Silkroad shirt today lol
Mexico

this is so thoughtful.

Working on making a simple NIP-60/NIP-61 wallet/starter template that people can fork and build UIs over. Making this because I'm trying to get people to learn how to code on my own platform.
Still needs work but for now you can create a nostr keypair, deposit and send money to a recipient.
Feel welcome to fork and take in your own direction at any point.
This is how I deal with it. My background in HCI makes me consider how hard it is for users to discover new technology when they're used to how things are. Same goes with AI, bitcoin or nostr.
