The gov’t playbook is to cut-off more and more points of access to btc/LN until only the large exchanges are left. At that point they will be easy to control or eliminate. I would encourage everyone to experiment win peer-to-peer exchanges like nostr:npub1p2psats79rypr8lpnl9t5qdekfp700x660qsgw284xvq4s09lqrqqk3m82 and Bisq. Are there other solutions that I should know about?

I knew this day would probably come, but didn't expect it so soon.

I am being investigated for running an illegal money transmission business in Canada (nodeless)

Under the advice of my lawyers I need to shut down the main instance of it.

As you guys know I made Nodeless completely open source in the event that this happens, so that others who don't live under communism can run a honest, privacy focused payments business.

To my clients who are using it, I'm very sorry for the short notice but you'll need to find a new payment processing solution this weekend.

yes, that is fucked up but that is how large custodians have been treated in the past

removing the app from US app stores abruptly with delayed comms indicates a level of panic from their team that is a concern - the only responsible path forward requires deliberate action from the wallet of satoshi team to encourage users to withdraw funds ASAP - otherwise the next course of action is likely a panicked shotgun kyc of all users without notice

It will be United States v Lightning unless something drastically changes at the federal regulatory and treasury level and/or if states go more on offense to protect citizens rights to use and transact with bitcoin however they wish, as would be overwhelmingly supported by the constitution and hopefully in federal and ultimately the Supreme Court.
