Founders setting up one company after another, getting funding here and there, winding up one company after another, defaulting on vendors and making other people’s life difficult.

Funding for startups has become toxic, creating irresponsible individuals that took funds and never have strong financial planning hence failing like dominos. If you can only be an entrepreneur by getting funds, please re-think if that is the right way? A creative mind knows how to start a business without those fancy funding.

This is a dumb question : the government came up with PDPA, legislstion to protect our personal data. But the government (remember mysejahtera?) and government owned monopoly (the one providing electricity to the whole nation) is the ones getting our data leaked. So what is the use of the law / policy?

This was brought up quite often during my studies of public policy, and it’s also one that makes us who are into this field frustrated because we tried to solve something but it only applies to normal citizen and not the government.

This frustration also made me give up completely on forensics accounting & the plan to join the anti-corruption commission, because it serve no purpose for the public but only the elites.

Make perfect sense as bitcoin adoption means much more for those sidelined by the existing system.

Reminds me of what my politics lecturer asked: “do we really understand poverty if we are not in the same situation?” - why most economist / policy maker fail.

Last week I had to go to the ER at 1am due to pain on my lower abdomen that’s unbearable.

I came to the same ER in Aug’22 due to the same issue. Was admitted for 2 days and did multiple test but they can’t be 100% sure what is my problem. That bill cost up to RM12k, fully on company’s insurance.

This time the doctor told me the same thing, get admitted and we’ll check but I refused and told him to just give me treatment I can take home.

I live without medical insurance because I had epilepsy since a kid, and when that is finally over as an adult, i am suddenly a diabetic. A single health issue could just put me into poverty (i am in the mid income tier). Since the insurance company has been discriminating me, I’ll find a better way to insure myself.

Scrolling on Nostr the pass couple months has had some positive impact on my anxiety & emotion.

Seeing the believers, the builders, the seekers, the teachers, etc. in this community, getting excited over ⚡️is such an encouragement no matter the situation we’re in. 💜
