I often feel my knowledge outpaces my actual applications. I have, after two successful syncs and three complete restarts due to my own incompetence, finally a full node operating. A modest Bitcoin Core node connected to a sparrow desktop wallet.

Maybe I needed all the extra information to fully understand what it was I was doing. It's not only about decentalizing and supporting the network. But removing reliance on any other participants.

Able to broadcast and validate my own transactions a premise I understood, just had not manage to actually enact. A sense of accomplishment not having to trust a third party's node to aggregate and display my UTXO sets.

Sometimes I regret not pushing myself to get here sooner. However I fear if I had I may have not been ready and managed to sabotage myself. A fear not yet assuaged. As the responsibility lies solely on my limited technical advances.

Editing a .conf file may be second nature to many in this space.

I am not one of them.

Must remember to never enter my seed words on anything other than the hardware devices I have at my disposal. As this private key is only as secret as I can keep it.

The state level attacks against Bitcoin continue. Lumping it in with the shitcoinery of "crypto" at large. They must see the potential threat of Bitcoin to theirn establishments? The reality of the information it represents. Or maybe the ignorance and audacity is that palpable.

Thinking back to the defaults, resulting in the 1933 gold confiscation and the later removal of redemption of USD for gold in 1971, I wonder if such or similar methods will be attempted in this new digital age.

And even if it were, what lengths they would be willing to go to get there?

Shutting down on and off ramps, making transacting in it illegal, chain analysis, linked KYC information by exchanges, outright ban on possessing it. How would enforcement of such efforts be implemented? I can hold words in my head and add any extra passphrases I want to that list.

Will they use threat of force? Would it really come to that? Possible. Hopefully there are still enough moral and upstanding people on earth to not back down and make it clear which side is in the right.

They cannot, will not have my Bitcoin. Because in all seriousness *I* will absolutely be the one to lose it due to lack of ability.

I remain on this path of pushing past barriers and limitations of my knowledge. Give in to understanding that you understand nothing of Bitcoin. Allow it to focus your attention on the other aspects of things you've long brushed off.

The journey tricks you for a time, thinking that something new will replace BTC. Realize that it is just as so for a reason. Doing exactly what it needs to. Providing tools for us to fight back against an otherwise inevitable globalist enslavement celestial body.

Just the consistency in my sats always being there is enough to bring sound peace I've not felt in a long time.
