Man...the number of shitcoins that have gone in and out of the top 10 is crazy. Many aren't even running anymore and are completely worthless now.
Unless bitcoin rebounds soon, it looks like the 4-year CAGR could dip below 10% for the first time ever. 👀 
Interesting development for the bitcoin DCAers...those who started DCAing right before or anytime after the most recent leg up (in early October 2024) is now in the red. Everyone else who started DCAing earlier than that is still in the green. 
Though Bitcoin seldom crosses the minds of most people worldwide, it stands as one of humanity's most remarkable and valuable creations.
After about 2 minutes of back and forth, I got ChatGPT to write me a script that goes through these historical snapshots, day by day, pulls all of the data from the top ranked coins, saves it into a csv, and then knows where to pick up where it left off if it gets interrupted.

Last time I checked, there were about 175k UTXOs worth 1 BTC or more.
Define “wholecoiner”…there are probably a lot more than 138k people with more than one bitcoin worth of UTXOs…but there only 138k UTXOs worth exactly 1 BTC.

Only a small fraction seems to have come from coins older than 5 years...so if OGs are selling, they're selling their newer coins and continuing to HODL their older ones.
Who's selling their bitcoin? Well...if we look on chain, most of the movement over the past year has come from 1-5 year old coins.
Short term HODLers: 5.82M BTC -> 7.54M BTC
Medium term HODLers: 7.64M BTC -> 6.22M BTC

Just learned that CoinMarketCap has historical snapshots all the way back to April 28, 2013...I might just have to build a crawler to go through every historical snapshot and then make an animation showing Bitcoin dominance versus the top 10 shitcoins (excluding stables). 
It's officially been 30 days since bitcoin last made an all time high.
