I believe that there will always be an age of consent.
In healthy countries it will be set shortly after puberty, so age 14 or 15.
More prudish sex-phobic countries will have higher ages 16 or more. They will get worse results. Turning healthy people into sex offenders is dysfunctional.
Needlessly criminalizing harmless behavior is just wrong.
Quite simply it's easy to make 10 year olds stay celibate.
It's much harder after puberty when our bodies have adult sex hormones, and adult sex drives.
Policing young adults to make sure that they're only having sex with "age appropriate" people is not practical and it's completely useless.
Folks between 18 and old age don't have toxic genitals. Nor do they have any magic brainwashing power.
