You can now get a Nostr verification, using NIP-05, at @DoCleanBusiness
. For those who don't know what this is: it's like the blue check for 𝕏, except you don't need to pay nor disclose your phone or credit card number for it.
For the techies: This is simply done with the 'Nostr Verify' #WordPress plugin (https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/nostr-verify/).
After installing, it adds 2 additional fields on the user profile page as shown in the screenshot.
You can choose any name and add the user's nostr public key (npub) in hex format. Use a tool like https://damus.io/key/ to convert npub to hex format.
After saving, it generates a JSON response file for nostr clients like this: https://islamic-marketplace.com/.well-known/nostr.json?name=im
According to this example the nostr nip05 address, which you can enter into any nostr client, is: im@islamic-marketplace.com.
The IM newsletter #10 for coming Friday is ready, alhamdulillah. As I said, I'm trying a new format. This one has only 3 contents:
1. An awesome khutba about Surah Al Insan about our desire for recognition and attention (very relevant for our social media behaviour)
2. Time management for social media post publication (for Muslims)
3. A useful tool of the week for social media that can be payed for in Sats via Lightining.
According to the newsletter statistics, many people actually open and read it, but hardly click on the links to various tools and articles.
That's why I'm going to change the style a bit starting with the next issue. More original, authentic content, fewer external links.
