I'm a massive lurker. trying to be betterπ
Its hard to achieve in a decentralised way. Its possible to do it on the client side but if you had 2 nostr apps which both had push notifications enabled, you'd be getting duplicates all the time which would be pretty annoying
Talking #nostrdev and drinking some local Moroccan tea πyou can see all the #nostrasia stickers on my drink bottle π€£ #alby https://video.nostr.build/55d4c5ef23f3246750e9e02ed3f3c6aa105bfd133f3c19bde50b2ff49a9b217c.mp4
Right about the problem, wrong about the solution. Have you read his book read, write, own? simply pumping his own bags. Interesting concerns around open protocols but seems like correlation, not causation IMO
Finally set up my full #btc #node and #Lightning node. #asknostr would anyone like to open the first channel with me?
We are working on an open source team member management package for #Nostr using nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft #NsecBunker
We are building this as a seperate package so that if others have a use case for managing user permissions for a business/organisation Npub, they have a starting point.
Follow this repo to keep up with the progress
so sketchy...
Umbrel has the most beautiful Node UI i've seen and so user friendly. looking forward to checking out their other 1 click solutions on my Pi 5
Introducing Tribly: The Decentralized Social Marketplace: Fostering Community and Collaboration
Creating Communities Around Ideas: Tribly introduces a platform where individuals can form or join communities based on shared interests or causes. This feature is crucial for gathering like-minded people who are motivated to make a difference but might not know where to start. By enabling users to rally around ideas, Tribly lays the groundwork for focused, collective action.
HelpHub for Asks and Gives: The HelpHub is an integral part of Tribly, allowing users to post what they need (asks) and what they can offer (gives). This system of mutual aid not only facilitates direct support among community members but also strengthens the bonds within and across communities by highlighting the interdependence and cooperative spirit that are essential for a functioning decentralized democracy.
Empowering Through In-Kind Donations and Volunteering: By prioritizing in-kind donations and volunteering opportunities, Tribly promotes a culture of generosity and active engagement. This approach underscores the value of non-monetary contributions, emphasizing the diverse ways individuals can contribute to their communities and causes, thus broadening the scope of participation beyond financial means.
Exchange of Time and Knowledge: Recognizing that everyone has something valuable to contribute, Tribly encourages the sharing of time and knowledge. This could range from professional expertise to practical skills, fostering an environment where learning and mentorship flourish. This exchange not only enhances community capacity but also democratizes knowledge, making it more accessible to all members.
Building Towards a Cohesive Vision for Bottom-Up Democracy
Enrolling in Ideas and Cultivating Leadership: As individuals find their communities and engage with causes they care about, natural leaders will emerge, guiding these communities towards actionable projects and goals. This organic leadership development is key to building a robust foundation for decentralized governance, where leadership is rooted in community trust and shared vision.
Iterative Development and Scalability: The initial focus on a decentralized marketplace allows Tribly to test and refine its platform, ensuring it meets the needs of its users. Through iterative development, Tribly can scale its features and functionalities, gradually incorporating more complex tools and frameworks for governance and decision-making.
Pathway to Full-Scale Bottom-Up Democracy: The experiences, data, and feedback gathered from the initial phase will inform the development of future features aimed at facilitating more structured forms of decentralized governance. This includes voting mechanisms, transparent resource allocation, and collaborative project management tools, moving Tribly closer to its vision of a comprehensive Bottom-Up Democracy 2.0.
Conclusion
Starting with a decentralized marketplace for in-kind donations, volunteering, and the exchange of time or knowledge, Tribly is taking a crucial first step towards realizing its ambitious vision. This initial phase is designed to build a strong, engaged community foundation, setting the stage for the gradual introduction of more sophisticated governance structures. By empowering individuals to contribute in meaningful ways and fostering a culture of cooperation and mutual support, Tribly is laying the groundwork for a future where communities can self-govern effectively, in harmony with the principles of Bottom-Up Democracy 2.0.
nostr:npub1lunaq893u4hmtpvqxpk8hfmtkqmm7ggutdtnc4hyuux2skr4ttcqr827lj has some of the most interesting mental models I've encountered in the space.
We are working on some classifieds search improvements and seeing some patterns on where its falling short.
I thought we could have a group for relay and client devs to collaborate and come up with some solutions, potentially creating a new NIP.
Please join the conversation!

WoT is going on with #WoT scores? Noticing people with far more notoriety on Nostr than myself with scores of 0 or 1. Mine was around 40 before and now at 15. #askNostr
