FREE COMFREY - For the next week only, anyone who places a seed order at staefli.com and writes “Comfrey” in the order notes will get live comfrey roots included in their order. Every chunk of comfrey root that gets buried will turn into its own lush, vibrant plant that can be used for chop n drops, garden ferments, animal feed, pollinator attractors, spider and beneficial insect habitats, and closed loop mulch.

We like to line comfrey plants on the borders between the beds and the walkways. This gives a ton of benefits and makes it really easy to chop n drop.

Comfrey roots go very deep, mining nutrients that other neighboring plants won’t ever touch. Those nutrients turn into lush green foliage that feeds the neighboring plants and soil.

Be aware- you cannot remove a comfrey plant once you establish it. If you try to dig it up every lateral piece of root left underground will turn into its own plant, so please plant wisely.

This also means once you have one or two established plants, you can dig up the root balls, and break them into dozens of chunks, making dozens of comfrey plants from a single root ball.

One of the most prolific plants you can have and a staple of any permaculture or polyculture system.

This is our full term outdoor Bread Winner f2 #17 and she was my favorite seed plant of the year last year. She was also one of my top favorite smokes of the year last year. Bred, selected, grown, and smoked by us. This was one of three females used to make the F3 seeds we just released. Finished first week of October outside, it laughs in the face of spider mites or russets and giggles at the ideal of pm or mold. Don’t sleep on the f3s they’re going fast and will be gone before ya know it.

I love this cut as much as the number 1 I just posted and am gonna have to do a final smoke test to compare the two when they’re dry. But all in all just so happy to have great people around who enjoy popping seeds and sharing back the keepers.

This is the Gushmints selection we used to make Mints’d Beef (Gushmints x Kobe beef bx3) and hippie mints (Gushmints x hippie toast). She’s one of my all time favorite cuts and I absolutely love smoking this flower and enjoying these terps. She does real well for solventless too.

All the #HippieToast came down today and there are sooo many potential keepers I’ll have to wait for the smoke test. About 3/4 of the offspring were deep purple like this and 1/4 were a cool dank dark green kinda color.
