Example: allpoetry, a site where ppl can write and share poems. They added AI descriptions beneath their poems. Guess what? They’re not only spoilers, but ai still fucking sucks at understanding human poetry. So right when you’re done reading the poem, and you should be inhaling its meaning, rolling it between your fingers like a cigarette etc. you get blasted with a vapid or banal text-interpretation-dump from a retarded agi model. This is bloat, and worse, it’s placed next to human art
Example: eBay. Sellers can have #ai create a description for them. These descriptions are often inaccurate, misleading or provide any relevant information about the item. Sellers can just click a button and a fluffy, verbose item description gets instantly generated. The problem is that much or all of it may be irrelevant.
Here’s the series of events that led me to Nostr, in chronological order:
- tried to pay for X's blue checkmark but was unable to do so without linking my bank account, instead of paying with a card.
- read the terms of connecting my bank account and realized I would have to agree to share my account number, routing number, interest rate, recent transaction history, etc. No way I was agreeing to that, so I closed the tab.
- opened a YT tab to watch some random videos, and a conversation between nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx and nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m at Nostriga popped up on my feed.
i had never heard of Nostr before clicking on that video. It took me all of two minutes to go from typing the name 'Nostr' into my browser to opening an account.

The reason that the middle class is eroding (getting poorer) is that wages are stagnant while cost of living rises. The only way to escape? Get assets, which are also rising. This requires some extra cash, which can be hard to come by if your wages are stagnant and cost of living has been rising. I’m so bullish on #bitcoin but I’m also trying to find a way to keep my head above water so I can buy more, all while living in a way that’s somewhat fulfilling. Entrepreneurship seems like the only way to possibly avenue to escape the “stagnant paycheck, get rekt by price inflation, get poorer” doom loop.
