Another thing, I’m seeing accounts pop up that are posting copyrighted media (films). Does nostr challenge the idea/model of a copyright, or make it moot? Are these accounts acting unethically? Soon, will pretty much anything that can be digitized become available for free on nostr somewhere? If so, how are creators/artists going to get paid? Can we really expect ppl to provide value for value? If you don’t give a shit, are you democratic or cynical?

I can’t stop considering this point since I was lucky enough to read it. Nostr devs: are we making room for reflection as we churn out cutting edge tech? We can be bullish (and I fucking am) on nostr but still self-critical and philosophical. What IS the entity we are creating here? How much pause should we take, or give?

It’s 100x harder than it looks. Skateboarders are like a hidden class of mages or something. It took me 3 months just to ollie, which translates to “jump over something while moving”. I never realized how gritty you have to be to be a skateboarder

They’re not only spoilers, but ai still fucking sucks at understanding human poetry. So right when you’re done reading the poem, and you should be inhaling its meaning, rolling it between your fingers like a cigarette etc. you get blasted with a vapid or banal text-interpretation-dump from a retarded agi model. This is bloat, and worse, it’s placed next to human art

Example: eBay. Sellers can have #ai create a description for them. These descriptions are often inaccurate, misleading or provide any relevant information about the item. Sellers can just click a button and a fluffy, verbose item description gets instantly generated. The problem is that much or all of it may be irrelevant.
