From the old school. An iconoclast of today's modern moronic culture

Yup same that was by far the best time of my life as well. From being a member of the demo team performing in front of a crowd to promote the dojo, competing in tournaments, to going through special training to become an instructor at a second dojo they were opening...they were like a second family to me.

My unsuspecting strength and ability to contort like a gymnast gave me a crazy instant notoriety at a new high school where I was the new unknown guy in my1st week into a new school during PE class leg pressing more than the star football players. I guess in a way that's my own Al Bundy 4 touchdown moment.🤣

Imagine my shock when I haven't had the chance to check the mempool in over a week and finally take my first glance and see these shenanigans. So is Larry Fink pumping our tx fees as well? I guess only btc ballers with sats to spare can play onchain during our 4th halving. 🤑

In my prime it would've been childs play as that varaiation is a martial arts stance (called horse stance) that I had to hold for 5 minutes for my black belt testing. The leg burn I felt after holding a horse stance for 5 minutes was worse than a kick to the balls with no cup. Doing these kettlebell squats this way I'm hoping to get back by prior leg strength from the old days.

But yeah, it's funny how the universe works...that same friend of mine has the same exact name as my father. Since my father passed away a while ago, he's been kinda like the father figure I haven't had in a looong time.

I usually workout solo. I get in a very serious zone alot of the time. And most ppl are too distracted to ever train alongside me.

One of the reasons why it takes me longer to train legs is I do a variation of sumo squat with a 45-50 lb kettlebell where I hold this position down for 7-10 sec for 10 reps. Needless to say, it takes some time to finish the set.

Believe me, I've known for longer than a decade. It's been a continual revolving door that seems never-ending of traitors.

The Golden Cow has thoroughly been milked. $34T in debt and counting and no one competent at the helm to be of any help...How much more could possibly be milked? lol let's find out

Leg days generally take me longer to do than upper body. It just takes longer for my legs to fatigue. Plus my 70 yo jacked buddy who looks 50 was also there. Naturally, in between sets we shoot the shit. He goes longer than I do. When I arrived at the gym, his Benz was already parked and when I left, he was still training.

How long was your workout? It took me about 2 hrs until I needed to head back before a rainstorm headed my way...don't have time to wash my car

Today was leg day and they're feeling quite heavy rn

FFS lol I almost missed the halving. 😞

I'm down 💪

I've seen too many strays in my travels. I'd like to eventually get some acreage and create a sanctuary for them kinda like Caesar Milan has done.

I'm very much the minority on my end. Most of the ppl I run into are like you... I don't know why

That's me lol. A/C blasted is a must if it's warm out. I'd put the top down on a convertible even if it's 50*

I think i may have encountered a "suddenly and unexpectedly" moment a little bit too close to home.

As I was accelerating up the hill, I saw something way out of the ordinary at the house next to mine. There was a little commotion happening around a vehicle I've never seen before parked on my neighbor's driveway. As I was pulling into my house, I got a better look at that vehicle and saw a woman sitting in the passenger seat going through what looked like a seizure from a distance...

You're next Jay-Z... better find someplace to hide like the Puff Diddler has

These past few weeks have been a stark reminder of why I abhor banks and only try to do the bare minimum with them. I've been trying to send money to someone, but every step along the way, my bank has been a thorn in my ass throughout this entire business transaction.

From declining my card payment through Stripe, then subsequently locking me from my account with their systems thinking it was a fraudulent transaction. Or the fact that I've already had to visit the local branch 4 separate times just to send a wire to the same person.

I've wasted almost 12 hours of my life between waiting at the bank and on the phone just trying to send fiat internationally. And the money STILL has not yet arrived to its destination despite the fact I've seen it credited from my account 6 business days ago.

Now I have to go back to the bank a 5th time to find out WTF is the problem. This is so comically absurd at this point that I just can't help but laugh at this whole thing. But because of this, I've been trying to make up for the time I've lost. So pardon me as I'll likely be AFK (or AFN) on and off for a bit.

Mos def, over the time (2016-2020) of all the bitcoiners that came during that time, especially in BT land, during a time when I started going Galt and doing my own thing; AND especially after covid and all the bs that ensued, you're among the top of the list of bitcoiners I want to meet in person. Even above dudes like Stephen Livera or HODL. No lie

It's either gonna be ES or AZ I suppose. I have some concerns about what Katie-be-hidin has done to your state after the steal, but having the ability to travel by private jet, does it really matter? I mean, it's not like I'll get ass-raped by the TSA and DIE should be far less of an issue at the regional airports. 😆

Haha, I know exactly what you mean by late bloomer. I was myself, not only a late bloomer, but also one of those odd combinations between computer geek and jock. Unfortunately, I never got that growth spurt that I was hoping from my father. My dad was 6'4" and very dark skin but my mother was not even 5' and very pale skin. Needless to say, I got fucked right in the middle...hope if we were to ever to meet in person in the future that you don't look down on me over something I have no control over. 🤣🤣

Ran a mile early today in 7:44 despite harboring a bum right knee and foot in the 1st half with hardly any warm-up. Been thinking about this data point today hence the long winded note. I was able to muddle through the nuisance; I'm accustomed to it, but ugh, I know my body is telling me to give it a rest.

NO ONE is able to train for 6-7 days a week consistently and not EVENTUALLY feel some aches and pains along the way. Not even yours truly, S₿. If caps nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx were to see this note, he would mos def say something along the likes of "stay humble S₿".

Yeah yeah, yet at the same time, I abhor forcing myself to be sedentary. Hard to explain without sparing you another couple paragraphs of notes, but I have a high standard that I've set for myself that those who are humble cannot attain unless you're among the 'few'.

Thanks to Bitcoin, I was able to retire early from a career that's sedentary in nature and one that I started to find repugnant. Now I'm in a grateful situation 🙏 where instead of concerning myself about money and what to do with what little spare time I have available like most people, I can focus my attention on not only gradually increasing my standard of living on my own terms, but also my longevity. I'm trying to achieve with my training regiment and the personal deadlines I've set for myself to reach a certain mental and physical fitness level where just possibly 🙏 , depending on advancements in technology that we don't know about today in 2024, if everything comes along the way I anticipate, I hope, to live as close as I can to witness the moment when 100% of the bitcoin supply has been mined in approx. 2140.

*I'll give ya some advice from someone who's stacked since 2012 when BTC was $12, once I understood about the halvings after every 210,000 blocks, I've started planning my life based on halving epochs (every 210,000 blocks). It hasn't let me down to this day, and once you truly understand the bitcoin protocol and understand what Satoshi envisioned, you should know exactly what I'm talking about.

>>planning your life based on halving epochs.

If you're a bitcoiner active on Nostr in 2024, give my advice the old college try. Unlike the fiat-toilet-paper-debt-based-monopoly monetary system where there's a vast uncertainty dependent on what the likes of Jay Pow Pow, Christine Lagarde, Draghi, or Kuroda have to say; with Bitcoin, we have absolute certainty as to what the economic policy will be at least until the year 2140 when all 100% of the 21m #bitcoin supply has been mined.

Oh cool, I remember Harden being such a ballhog when he was pro...don't know if he was the same at ASU, but dude could score at will when he had that groove. I don't really have anything to compare to that. The only other notable player who played at my school was Daunte Culpepper; but he attended at a time when I would've rather been in college than when I attended.

I vaguely remember back when I was a freshman or sophomore, our football team lost almost every game in their season. Kicker could barely make a PAT that's how bad they were lol...but after some coaching changes and fast forward 13 years later, they somehow win the National Championship.

Basketball was never really my sport as far as playing it. It was mostly just a TV and videogame thing for me. The only thing I was able to do back then basketball-wise was I was able to dunk a basketball due to my hops. But that was primarily due to my martial arts training.
