I love the feeling of receiving value.

Whether it’s through a new perspective.

A new insight. A laugh. A kind exchange. A simple “GM” or “GN.”

Or receiving and giving value in form of sats.

I love that feeling and I love giving that feeling.

This morning I noticed I follow my own zapping habbits. Something I kinda developed without even realizing it. And I thought If I do this, others probably have their own zapping habits too.

I’ve even seen people argue about what’s “right” or “wrong” when it comes to zapping. In my humble opinion what’s wrong for one is right for another. What matters to me is that I deeply appreciate any real interaction. Education. Information. Entertainment.

High-quality, intelligent exchange.

Real people. And of course value and honor shared through zaps.

So here are my personal zapping habits I’ve kinda developed over time (I’m still <1year Nostr…)

Curious what yours are. Happy to learn from your perspective, too.

1. Every zap-whether received or given-fills me with gratitude.

I see it as a digital “thank you,” a handshake, or a warm nod from across the world.

2. I zap when a post stirs emotions inside me.

Whether it made me think, laugh, cry 😅, or smile.

I usually zap 3 sats to start

(3 is my favorite number from my pro basketball days).

It’s my way of saying:

“I see you, my friend. Thanks.”

The more I learn or laugh, the higher I zap.

I think my highest zap was 2,000 sats so far.

3. When I receive a zap, I zap back.

Always.

My way of saying: “Message received. I see you. Thank you.”

Mutual appreciation matters in my pov.

4. I I keep them in circulation.

It’s like an energy exchange.

From the people.

For the people.

5. I never withdraw. I never convert. I only add.

To the Bitcoin network.

To the Nostr network.

Strengthening the decentralized future. Walking away from the centralized past.

Do you have zapping habits too?

What triggers you to send value?

What kind of content gets your nod of appreciation?

So many questions 🤷‍♂️⚡️

I’d love to hear how you see it.

Only with love and peace

Cheers from Munich, my friends. 🤙🏼🧡🗽

I have a £1-a-day zap budget and use it to zap any notes that add value to my life. ⚡️
