Software Engineer by day, aspiring beet farmer by night. ☦️💻⚽🏥📷📈💪☕️🇺🇸🇪🇬 Things I like: - #P2P/#decentralized/#opensource stuff - #History (esp Rome/Greece/Egypt) - #Transit oriented city design - #Gadgets/#ElectricVehicles/#Solar Power - #Space exploration - #Videogames (especially #GTA) Things I've Built: - Agora: Follow your favorite topics across Mastodon, Bluesky, Nostr, and Threads https://agorasocial.app - Chronicl: Decentralized web archiver that distributes archives across Nostr relays https://chronicl.vercel.app/ “Egyptians are twisted and bitter people with a sense of humor” - Roman poet Theocritus

So the running list I have so far of mirrored relays that sync with other relays:

wss://e.nos.lol and wss://nos.lol ( #[0] )

wss://nostr.relayer.se (#[1] )

wss://relay.nostrgraph.net ( #[2] )

According to the stats at nostr.watch, there are 3 relays running strfry. I only know of 2:

wss://nos.lol

wss://nostr.relayer.se

anyone know what the 3rd is?

In addition to what others have replied, the point of these relays is that the cost to use them deters spambots, as they’d have to pay for every pub they generate to spam the relay with.

That’s not even censoring, that’s a form of spam deterrent.

I'd love to learn more about the idea and see if I can help build it!

I tried with those, I didn’t see link previews there either, other than previews from image links of course.

Do any nostr web clients support link previews? I can only see the previews on native clients like Damus and Amethyst as far as I can tell.

It’s in the settings

Yup! The latest update (13) added translation through LibreTranslate

Yup! I just haven’t pushed it to github yet because it’s still super rough draft, but will in a day or so.

It uses https://rsslay.nostr.moe to turn rss feeds into nostr profiles, therefore using relays as the infrastructure that aggregates the content in one place

Sneak peek of the nostr-powered RSS Reader I'm working on, tentatively named Ostrich Reader 😃

I don’t see Keet’s source, but the source code for all the hyper core/hole punch modules it uses are here: https://github.com/holepunchto

So it looks like Keet is basically the P2P Session chat app but without the shitcoins involved in the P2P network?

This is the branding I'm most looking forward to :P
