# [BFComms] Nov 19th changes to Defibrillators, Sabotage Mode and Challenges.
Today, we’ve rolled out a series of changes in relation to Defibrillators, Sabotage alterations, and further Challenge balance changes. All of the changes listed below are now live and should take effect in a fresh match or upon a game reload.
-
# Defibrillator Adjustments after 1.1.2.0
After changes to the Defibrillators in Update 1.1.2.0 made them more demanding in terms of accuracy and target range, we've published a backend update to bring their usability back in line with our original intentions.
We've increased their effective hit-boxes and range, which should make Defibrillators feel more consistent with previous gameplay.
# Sabotage Mode Alteration
As some of you might have noticed, during the side swap segment of Sabotage there was a unintended 60 second delay duration. Upon investigation this delay also conflicted with AFK timer protections that exist in Battlefield 6. We have now rolled out an update which increases the AFK kick timer in Sabotage to 180 seconds.
Additionally, we have taken the temporary measure to disable bot backfilling in Sabotage and you can expect to see this reintroduced in a later update.
# Additional Challenge Changes
Earlier this month, we shipped our first set of changes to the Challenges and Assignments, which included a total of 90+ adjustments. Today’s update focuses on clearer, more consistent descriptions and criteria across Challenges and Assignments, as well as making some of the following challenges easier to achieve.
Where listed, we have also removed some from being obtainable.
Here is the full list of changes:
**Recon 2:Â **Get headshots beyond 150m as Recon.
- Challenge and Description Updated to: Get head shots hits beyond 75m as Recon.
**Recon Expert 3:Â **Get headshot kills beyond 200m as Recon in a match.
- Challenge and Description Updated to: Get headshot kills beyond 125m in a match as Recon.
**Deadeye 2:Â **Get headshot kills over 200m with Sniper Rifles
- Challenge and Description Updated to: Get headshot kills beyond 125m with Sniper Rifles
**Engineer 3:Â **Deal damage to Laser Designated enemy vehicles using lock-on weapons.
- This has been removed.
**Rapid Fire 2:**Â Get kills beyond 50m with Assault Rifles
- Challenge and Description Updated to: Get kills beyond 40m with Assault Rifles
**Rapid Fire 3:**Â Inflict damage under 15m while hip-firing with Assault Rifles.

## Additional Fixes Following Update 1.1.2.0
Alongside the release of Update 1.1.2.0, and California Resistance, we've implemented several gameplay and progression changes based on your feedback.
- Following your feedback to our communication last week, Escalation now has had its time increased for capturing objectives by roughly 20%, extending the length of each phase for a smoother, more tactical flow. This change gives your squad more time to react, reposition, and coordinate vehicle spawns while maintaining the mode's fast-paced intensity.
- We've also deployed backend fixes for challenge rewards not unlocking correctly. These updates address issues where completed challenges could fail to grant rewards or appear multiple times. Participating in a match should now reward you with any outstanding rewards from challenges.
- Additionally, we have also rolled out a small change to how Player Kill/Death statistics are shown within your Player Profile. Going forward Portal Kill/Death Statistics will no longer be listed within the Kill/Death amount on your profile and Kill will only showcase Human Kills. Portal statistics will be shown in a different capacity in a future time.
Thank you for your continued feedback and we'll see you on Eastwood!

## [BFComms] Battlefield Portal Web Builder Maintenance Update
Following recent backend maintenance on the Battlefield Portal Web Builder, players will need to republish their verified experiences to continue playing on them. This step ensures those experiences remain accessible and correctly linked to the updated backend systems.
If you notice that an experience you've previously published is no longer accessible or playable, republishing will restore it and ensure it's available for other players to access.
This maintenance was part of ongoing backend work to keep Portal services stable and consistent across regions. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

# [BFComms] Reintroducing Bots to Verified Experiences
As mentioned in our “Update on Community Servers and Portal Experiences” post, we temporarily removed bots from Verified Experiences to support healthier matchmaking. Bots have now returned to Conquest, Breakthrough, and Rush. Here’s what to expect with this option in Verified Community Experiences:
* Each game mode now supports up to 12 bots.
* If bot backfill is enabled, matches require 8 players to start, and there will be up to 6 bots on each team.
* If bot backfill is disabled, matches require 20 players to start.
* Bots grant reduced XP, while player XP remains at 100% (similar values to Multiplayer modes).
* If bots are enabled, player stats will not see gains (or losses) such as hours played, kill/death ratio, and total revives.
This is not currently working as intended and is actively being adjusted.
* Challenges remain completable.

# [BFComms] Reroll challenges system adjustment
We have made adjustments to the reroll challenges system.
âś… Now, when rerolling a challenge, this change will prevent Battlefield 6 players from receiving a challenge that can only be completed in REDSEC.
âś… REDSEC players will continue to receive additional challenges that can be completed in REDSEC when rerolling a challenge.
Which challenge you gain after rerolling will still be random.
Thanks for your feedback on this topic!
# [BF Comms] Battlefield Coins not delivered on Steam
We are aware of players reporting that they are not receiving their Battlefield Coins from their Advanced or Starter Pack purchases on Steam.
The team is investigating this issue, and we will provide an update as soon as possible.
In the meantime, players have reported that restarting their Steam client can sometimes resolve this issue.
# [BFComms] Feature Spotlight - Challenge Rerolling
If a challenge doesn't suit your playstyle, head to the challenges tab, select your challenge, and you'll see the option to reroll.
As challenges vary from person to person, rerolls do not guarantee you'll receive a challenge you like. Which is why you have multiple rolls available per day for both Daily Challenges and per week for Weekly Challenges.
You'll be able to gain the following depending on the version of the game you own.
**Daily Challenges:**
- All players receive one daily reroll.
- Battlefield 6 owners receive an additional reroll.
- Battlefield Pro owners receive an additional reroll.
This allows up to 3 rolls per day. Dailies reset at 04:00 UTC.
**Weekly Challenges:**
- All players receive three weekly rerolls.
- Battlefield 6 owners receive an additional reroll.
- Battlefield Pro owners receive an additional reroll.
This allows up to 5 rerolls per week on Weekly Challenges. Weeklies reset at 12:00 UTC every Tuesday.
We hope this feature helps you find the challenges to match your playstyle!
