I've never enjoyed social media since I had an AIM address and the screen names of a few friends.

I did myspace in high school. Was forced a Facebook I barely used for a decade (I was one of the people with 69 friends) and I never jumped on board Twitter or Instagram or any of that shit.

I became jaded and bitter by my by 30 from staring into an abyss of a deteriorating society. Bitcoin helped begin to break that hypnosis on me though I still struggle with my base nature of being apprehensive, overly critical, and a sense of what I can best describe as undirected anger gnawing at what I wish I could be, what I want to be, and what I am capable of becoming.

Then I found #nostr. I'm still that same struggling person. But for once don't feel inundated on all sides constantly by negativity that just festers in so many day to day interactions and depictions of what is happening and what I should think about it on a screen.

Because I found a bunch of psychopaths on the internet who I don't know, but who have made me appreciate how good it can be when people have optimism for once, not just for their prospects. But for others as well.

And this isn't even social media. Nostr is becoming THE media.
