It amuses me to no end to see Bitcoiners acting like Buttcoiners with regard to nostr.

I do wonder how much of this can be attributed to maximalist culture making people more close minded and pessimistic.

I'm not interested in all the ways nostr can fail.

I'm interested in all the ways it can succeed.

The Komusō (虚無僧) ("priest of nothingness" or "monk of emptiness") were wandering non-monastic lay Buddhists from the warrior-class (samurai and rōnin) who were noted for wearing straw basket hats and playing the shakuhachi bamboo flute.

A few helpful nostr tips:

- Follow many people for a lively feed

- Re-post notes you like. Don’t just like and scroll by. We don’t have algos other than popular notes, you are the algo.

- We’re not big on follower counts, some clients won’t even show it by default. Post for people, not for growing followers

- Saving profile info can be buggy and seem like its not updating, but it probably is. Just give it time.

- Use #asknostr often to ask your questions, we all started like you, with many questions.
