Our health inspection grade is in all your nodes forever now, LOL.

If we got a C we'd have to make it the first letter of a sign that said COME ON IN!

Mount what? Never heard of it. Did you catch that Italy game?

No, due to the nature of these cases we deliberately did not record this, and it gave our audience more latitude to ask challenging questions.

However, we did record an audio Spaces with two of the speakers ahead of the event and we’ll release that as a podcast.

Someone asked us tonight if we lend out the books in our shrine.

We do not. We are a public house, not a public library. You may ask to thumb through one or two when we are not busy, but it’s at the discretion of our staff and management.

However, it did spark an idea. Maybe what we need is a PubKey book club: A regular meetup where we read aloud selected sections from our favorite books on #bitcoin and economics. But there will be some homework involved.

Who would be down for something like this?

Thanks to our speakers nostr:npub1dnzzyhmewrzkh862z7z2shwmhh5htx0rvkagepj2fkgst9ptwg3qj4x52h, Jeremy Poley, and Daniel Kuhn for their valuable contributions to The Privacy Trials discussion this evening, and to our guests who participated in the Q&A that followed.

We expect this will be the first of a series of home-grown events focusing on #bitcoin  privacy, law, and regulation.

These cases are far from over, and more will certainly emerge, so The Privacy Trials needs to be a recurring meetup.

Tonight’s talk consisted of three journalists, doing the work to present the most up-to-date information on federal cases including Samourai, Bitcoin Fog, and Tornado Cash, and placing them in the larger context of legal precedent dating back to the “Crypto Wars” of the 1990s when unbreakable encryption was under fire and even considered to be a weapon.

Some of the lawyers with direct knowledge of these cases and other legal experts we reached out to were unavailable to speak publicly on this important subject. We will reach out to them again for a follow-up later this year.
