💥 Introducing our new slogan 💥
The evolution of our slogan narrates the journey from our inception to our current stance, as detailed below.
We launched in 2020, at the halving block, and embarked on a mission to become the best bitcoin exchange for Bitcoiners like ourselves.
Our slogan echoed this sentiment:
"Bitaroo - Built for Bitcoiners"
However, as we grew, we realised that the majority of our users were not necessarily hardcore toxic Bitcoin maximalists but rather everyday people keen on buying bitcoin for the very first time.
This meant that our slogan was confusing for some of them, perhaps even intimidating:
"Is this platform exclusively for Bitcoiners? I'm just looking to make my first bitcoin purchase. Perhaps this isn't the right fit for me?"
Furthermore, certain features we deployed, such as the Bitaroo Vault and Sell, were not directly built for Bitcoiners, further highlighting the disconnect with our original slogan.
Thus, it became apparent that a change was necessary.
Today, we proudly unveil our new slogan:
"Bitaroo - Welcome to Bitcoin"
We believe this slogan resonates better with us as well as with all of our users.
It is inviting precoiners to Bitcoin and it is a promise to Bitcoiners that we will add more and more features, enabling them (and us!) to use our services in ways that were not available before.

How it works:
1. During the halving block, initiate a BTC withdrawal from Bitaroo (on-chain or via LN) 👍
2. You'll be reimbursed for the withdrawal fee and receive an additional 3.125% 🥳
Example:
On block 840,000, you withdrew your bitcoin and chose to pay 10,000 sats as withdrawal fee.
(it doesn't matter when the withdrawal will be confirmed, only that you initiated it during the halving block)
Within 21 hours your Bitaroo account will be credited with 10,000 sats in addition to 3.125% of the withdrawal fee paid (=313 sats).
So obviously, you might want to go high 😅
