check your email! 🤙 😝
podcasts are just open source phone calls
here’s a tutorial i made on verification
let me know if you have any specific questions
How to get verified on Damus?
Welcome to Nostr, #[0]!
I’m the creator of the lightning/zap tutorial video people shared with you to get setup. I also podcast/youtube about Nostr including a weekly Nostr News show where we review what’s new/happening in the ecosystem.
I’d love to host on a youtube interview to learn about what brought you to Nostr and how your early experience has been. I’ve been using Nostr for a while and I’m technical so I could help answer any questions you might have about how it all works. Let me know if that sounds fun! 🤙
the best part about the open-source/censorship-resistant nature is that it enables an explosion of developer creativity that you don’t get from closed source/centralized providers who may offer a carefully limited API
look for a lot more builders building! 💪
thanks, Duncan! 🙏
yeah, i don’t mean to be too harsh - i have heard and believe he has good intentions - i just don’t want people to get confused about his claims about nostr which i think under-appreciate its potential
I made a video sharing my reaction to the Nostr commentary discussed on the Joe Rogan Experience
In short, I was disappointed by how Nostr was represented, but I’d like to hear if I got something wrong.
cool to see the mention of Nostr, NIPs, and Damus!
i’m just bothered that this guy seems like he’s disingenuously associating with nostr without really embracing the principles
listening to the Rogan segment. i don’t know this Ottman guy or minds.com, but seems kinda shitcoiny, no?
came here to say the same thing
me: “I want to introduce you to a smart/prolific hacker I’m angel investing in who’s building on nostr. Though I should mention he’s a bit introverted he has elite level ideas and is working on search.”
friend: “Larry Page is also very introverted.”
One of my favorite aspects of Nostr is that it doesn’t rely-upon new/novel cryptography. It uses “boring/old cryptography” in new/novel ways.
