Everyone seems to have COVID but they weren't there for that. When I got back I watched the latest episode of Gen V which was, plot-wise rather than acting-wise, not my favourite, being diplomatic. I'd worked out the plot by 1/3rd of the way through. The puppet extreme violence was well done and it was well acted. It was like a shelved Dan Harmon Community episode where Pierce Hawthorne accidently drinks PCP. "Both Kinda Liked It" strikes me as a phrase that deserves caveats in that Deep Blue Song - I think them pretending to like it is more romantic because, maybe, they did it for love. "Both kind of hate it" also scans.)

I usually get up at 6am because then I have time for puzzles and other bits and pieces. I did other bits and pieces. I updated my phone to Android 14. To be fair it was downloading the update over a 90Mbps+ 5G connection that took the longest chunk of time. I know companies like Apple and Google aren't profitable enough to have the kind of content distribution networks open source projects have - because of the sheer number of devices they have have sold. They just don't have the capacity. I think maybe a crowdfunder, or move towards something like Bittorrent distribution could help.
So I may or may not Wordle later today. I probably will.

I keep getting Nutella Biscuit Adverts on YouTube music. I visit a band I like's page and the YouTube music client is pimping for Big Biscuit. I hope there is some of that biscuit money being distributed to bands. Maybe it's a cunning strategy to make me go premium. If it keeps happening I'm going to move to Spotify.
And, for the record, biscuits - in the British sense - can give you a big heart. Like in the advert. Or at least contribute to coronary artery disease. I'll probably get on Spotify and have something equally annoying like Haribo adverts. For the record Lidl fruit jelly type sweets are better*. I have zero problem with advertising. It's good. Nothing is free. But it's like Ralph Wiggum is in charge of algorithms.
* I rarely have them because aside from the gelatine they're basically sugar, but they have actual fruit juice and it tastes like it.

With this one the puzzle has four starter guesses already done so the aim is to rescue the game with the remainder 9 guesses. A fun spin on it and I'm not whether it's easier or harder. In theory it should be harder but it really depends on the words distance from the guesses. Aced the practice goes but screwed up the daily. (The unlimited practices are on the homepage - I got 66 in the normal Octordle today - all the words, but unexceptional).

He hopped about with excitement, played with pieces, and was a general distraction while I made it.
