Joseph, born in Macedonia, felt a deep calling early in life. He joined PartoΘ Monastery and was later chosen as Metropolitan of TimiΘoara. Despite his high position, he lived humbly, known for his kindness and generosity to the poor. A story tells of a time when a severe drought plagued the region. Joseph led the people in fervent prayer, and a life-giving rain arrived, saving them from famine. Let us pray that, like Joseph, we may be instruments of divine grace, bringing hope and relief to those in need.

During the reign of Emperor Diocletian, Montanus, a priest, and Maxima, his wife, fearlessly confessed their faith in Christ. For refusing to deny their beliefs and offer sacrifice to idols, they endured brutal torture. Their bodies were lacerated with iron claws, and they were ultimately drowned at Singidunum (modern Belgrade). They remained steadfast, glorifying God even in their final moments.
Let us pray to Montanus and Maxima, that through their intercessions, we may be granted the strength to uphold our faith amidst trials and tribulations. #Martyrs #OrthodoxChristian #Prayer #Saints #Faith
