Macron declared:

“We support Ukraine and will take full responsibility for ensuring peace and security in Europe. This is a fundamental interest of France, and I am its guarantor.”

According to the Washington Post, U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has signed a memo, ordering senior leaders at the Pentagon and across the U.S. Military to develop plans to cut roughly 40% of the defense budget by 2030, in increments of 8% per year for the next five years. The United States’ defense budget in 2025 was nearly $850 billion, having drastically grown since the mid-2010s due to threats from both China and Russia, who also both continue to increase their annual defense spending. The memo ordered that the proposed cuts be drawn up by February 24th, with only 17 categories of defense spending being prohibited from the cuts by the Trump Administration, which include operations at the U.S-Mexico Border, the modernization of nuclear weapons and missile defense system, and the acquisition of submarines, one-way attack drones and other munitions.

For context, President Trump’s Department of Transportation pulled its approval today for New York’s new “Congestion Pricing” tolls for cars driving through Manhattan; which was an attempt by the state and city to raise money for New York’s aging mass transit system. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy called the tolls “backwards and unfair” further stating it was a “slap in the face to working class Americans and small business owners.”

The White House has posted a picture of U.S. President Donald J. Trump wearing a crown, while quoting one of his recent posts on Trust Social which read, “CONGESTION PRICING IS DEAD. Manhattan, and all of New York, is SAVED. LONG LIVE THE KING!”

Al Jadeed sources: President Joseph Aoun is making efforts in direct negotiations with the Americans to pressure Israel to withdraw completely from Lebanese territory

An Eastern European Official has told the German Newspaper, BILD, that discussions are ongoing in regards to the withdrawal of U.S. Troops from all Countries in Europe that joined the NATO Alliance after 1990, which is reported to have been one of the Goals of recent Negotiations between Russia and the United States. This would include Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Sweden. Additionally, preparations are said to be ongoing in Italy, for the possible withdrawal of U.S. Forces from Kosovo.

Vance warns Zelensky he will regret "badmouthing" Trump and condemns his "atrocious" response to peace talks.

Trump's administration will formally designate eight Latin American criminal organizations as 'foreign terrorist organizations.'

The list of designated groups will be published in this Thursday's (20th) edition of the 'Federal Register.'

The label of 'foreign terrorist organization' uses a designation typically reserved for groups like 'Al-Qaeda' or 'ISIS.'

In the message where Trump called President Zelensky a “dictator,” he once again claimed that the U.S. had spent $350 billion on Ukraine’s defense—”$200 billion more than Europe.” However, according to the U.S. Congress, the actual allocated amount for Ukraine’s defense was $170 billion, including logistics costs and humanitarian aid. Official data from both the U.S. Congress and the European Union indicate that European countries contributed €30 billion more.

Trump also continues to push a Russian propaganda narrative, claiming that “Zelensky doesn’t know where half of the money sent went.” However, as the U.S. Congress itself has stated, over 80% of the funds allocated for Ukraine’s defense remained in the U.S., primarily directed toward the defense industry to replenish the materials sent.

There is now a Federal Register notice for the upcoming designation for a number of organized crime elements & cartels as FTOs.

Here is the link to the two page unpublished Public Notice from Secretary of State Marco Rubio for the designation below.

The Russian propagandist Solovyev said that “now that the U.S. and Russia are friends,” they should form a “military alliance and divide Europe.” https://video.nostr.build/682f03188a960da0b6313d6a42b12c804d5b4a8b54f67e09fece29800fff2e81.mp4

General Keith Kellogg, Trump's special envoy for the war in Ukraine, arrived in Kyiv today.

"We are listening. We understand the need for security guarantees. We are very clear on the importance of this nation's sovereignty and its defense as well."

Among all members of the Trump administration, General Kellogg appears to be the most reasonable regarding the war in Ukraine. The question remains: how much influence do his opinions carry within the White House?

It is now quite evident that Trump will offer Putin at the negotiating table what Putin failed to achieve on the battlefield. In a statement, Trump echoed Russian propaganda, accusing Ukraine of starting the war. In recent days, Europe, backed by allies such as Turkey, has stated that it will not accept territorial concessions without security guarantees for Ukraine and, most importantly, without also consulting Ukraine.

But that is not going to happen, and everything suggests that Trump is determined to please Putin—whatever his secret reason may be. In this scenario, what will the Europeans and their allies do? Will they take on the mission of defending Ukraine themselves, or will they hand it over to Putin on a silver platter and wait for the next Russian invasion?

Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced the restoration of Diplomatic Ties between the United States and Russia, following yesterday’s Summit in Saudi Arabia.

After Trump accused Ukraine of starting the war, Zelensky stated that Trump is trapped in a “Russian disinformation space.” Russia has invaded Ukraine on two occasions: first in 2014, in Crimea, and then on a larger scale in February 2022.

"We must first and foremost look at what the people who are fighting think. Make concessions to Russia? Only 1% of the population supports that. It may seem like this can be resolved through some agreements. No, it is impossible." – Zelenskyy at a press conference. https://video.nostr.build/2fee76771f8e7150837dce61b4bd8a795f361f43857e266305927dbb7ec72213.mp4

Putin: Our troops are advancing along the entire front line.

Yes, but there’s one detail - after that, they return in black bags.

Putin’s statement about an offensive was refuted by the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation:

"There was an attempt by a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group to enter Ukrainian territory. The SRG was eliminated. There is currently no Russian military grouping capable of conducting a large-scale offensive on Ukrainian territory." https://video.nostr.build/5eb20acb75d0615dbb1592333be4eedddc5ebdbf9eeaede04422f159e5565824.mp4

I would be happy to meet with Trump, but the meeting must be prepared — Putin https://video.nostr.build/afa4f5a524a8dbfe1f4d9a0c4952d2debb8999f3d5fce6cedfe4e058f48fcd7c.mp4
