The relationship between Trump and Zelensky seems to have reached a breaking point. After a highly provocative remark from VP JD Vance, who stated that "there are no men in Ukraine," a heated argument erupted at the White House. Trump then stepped in, accusing Zelensky of not respecting the U.S.

Everything seems to indicate that Trump set a kind of "trap" for Zelensky at the White House. What started as a calm and friendly meeting quickly spiraled out of control after provocative remarks from VP JD Vance, with Trump stepping in and accusing Zelensky of not respecting the U.S., leading to a heated exchange between the two.

In this clip, we see Trump saying—almost as if he doesn’t understand why:

"You see the hatred he (Zelensky) has for Putin. It’s very hard for me to make a deal with this kind of hatred (pointing at Zelensky). He has tremendous hatred."

As Trump speaks, Zelensky’s visible discomfort says it all.

President Trump, Vice President JD Vance and President Zelensky are getting in an extremely heated back and forth in the Oval Office. Zelensky asks Vance to come to Ukraine and Vance accuses him of doing propaganda tours. Trump tells him, “You don’t have the cards right now…You’re gambling with WWIII.”

After saying earlier outside the White House, “He’s all dressed up today” in reference to Ukrainian President Zelensky’s iconic outfit featuring cargo pants and a shirt emblazoned with the Coat of arms of Ukraine, U.S. President Trump says to Zelensky in the Oval Office, “I do like your clothing by the way.” To which Zelensky responds, “Yeah, really?”

Wall Street Journal reports that Trump will sign an executive order making English the sole official language in the U.S.

The U.S. has until now never had a national language. Previously, it was taken for granted to immigrants would have to learn English.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled to arrive at the White House today at 11:00am EST, where he will be met by U.S. President Donald J. Trump. A Press Conference between Trump and Zelensky is scheduled for 1:00pm.

Despite Trump and members of his administration recently stating that Ukraine will not regain any territory occupied by Russia, yesterday, during his meeting with the British Prime Minister, Trump said they are analyzing which territories can be returned to Ukraine.

According to a defense publication, the U.S. is reportedly preparing to block the sale of Swedish Gripen fighter jets to Colombia. Although the manufacturer is the Swedish company SAAB, the jet is equipped with numerous American components, such as a variant of the General Electric F414 engine.

This highlights how dependent nations are on major powers and also how volatile alliances and relationships can be. If this veto indeed happens, Colombia—once a strong U.S. ally—may turn to China and its fighter jets instead.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) today begun the mass firing of hundreds of federal employees under the agency and its several child agencies, including the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) and the National Weather Service (NWS), which has already been suffering from low-staffing over the last few years. The cuts are expected to effect up to 1,830 of NOAA’s 11,000 staff across the United States, roughly 10% of the agencies employees; with a push by NOAA to obtain a “public safety exemption” for meteorologists and forecasters with the NWS being largely denied. It is not currently known if these cuts will include those in the NOAA Commissioned Officer Corps, one of the eight federal uniformed services of the United States.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has announced an “indefinite suspension” of weather balloon launches from Kotzebue, Alaska due to a lack of staffing at the local weather forecasting office (WFO).
