"Just think about how this sounds. 500 million Europeans are asking 300 million Americans to help fight 140 million Russians. Can you do the math? Rely on yourselves! If there is one thing we lack today, it is the realization that we are a global power."
— Tusk.
But it is worth noting that as of January 1, 2024, there were slightly more than 700 million Europeans. However, the essence remains unchanged.
U.S. Vice President JD Vance must have realized that his statement was poorly received, especially in the United Kingdom. In response, he posted that he did not specifically refer to the UK or France.
However, there’s a “small detail” here: the proposal to send European troops to Ukraine was made precisely by the UK and France. In fact, so far, the only troops actually confirmed in this peace plan are British and French forces.

Chaos this morning within the Serbian Parliament, as opposition members throw smoke and stun grenades into the middle of the chamber, while others unfurled a banner reading, “Serbia rises up to bring down the regime” and several brawls broke out amongst the lawmakers. MP Žarko Obradović reportedly suffered a stroke during the scuffle and was rushed to hospital, alongside two women who also suffered injuries requiring medical treatment. https://video.nostr.build/0694dd402a8717db357fe0b392c95a98ba8e7c7812ed01731aff066c536115e1.mp4 https://video.nostr.build/74f0cc396e6871ed9e236a7cb3dc416cc0fbee253a4a943d2ab2eae57ee00b51.mp4 https://video.nostr.build/90a74ff31075dac5bc290d4eddb1b2890f28951b8a164c7fd75cb86ceb5e6a0d.mp4
In a recent interview, U.S. Vice President JD Vance criticized the European peace proposal, which involves deploying a European peacekeeping force of up to 30,000 soldiers in Ukraine. During the interview, Vance stated that sending troops from “random countries that haven’t fought wars in 30 or 40 years won’t yield results.”
His remarks were poorly received, especially in the United Kingdom, which has been involved in multiple wars over the past two decades—mostly initiated by the U.S. in the Middle East. Notably, in Iraq and Afghanistan, where 636 British soldiers lost their lives and another 2,470 were wounded. https://video.nostr.build/5f9bddd992ed14e7288cbeb5b9ba676c781e3b136d895b87b315c0030ed8b9ac.mp4
In response to an additional 10% tariff on all Chinese goods from the U.S., the Chinese Ministry of Finance (MOF) has announced tariffs on imported U.S. goods starting on March 10, 2025. The MOF announced 15% tariffs on chicken, wheat, corn, and cotton imports and 10% tariffs on sorghum, soybeans, pork, beef, aquatic products, fruits, vegetables, and dairy product imports. The tariffs, different from the 10 and 15 percent tariffs that targeted U.S. energy exports and agricultural machinery, further target the U.S. agricultural industry.
When Putin invaded Ukraine in February 2022, these were his main demands:
1⃣ Ukrainian recognition of the loss of the territories invaded and occupied by Russia;
2⃣ The removal of Volodymyr Zelensky’s government;
3⃣ A ban on Ukraine joining NATO;
4⃣ An end to foreign military aid to Ukraine.
In recent days, Donald Trump has stated that, for there to be “peace,” Ukraine will have to make territorial concessions to Russia (point 1⃣), Zelensky will have to resign (point 2⃣), Ukraine will be barred from joining NATO (point 3⃣), and yesterday, by blocking U.S. military aid to Ukraine, Trump granted Putin his demand number 4⃣.
A senior Pentagon official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told Bloomberg that the halt to military aid to Ukraine includes all military aid in transit and waiting in transit areas in Poland.
U.S. Republican Representative Brian Fitzpatrick, serving Pennsylvania's 8th Congressional District said earlier today in a post on 𝕏, that “We are 100% getting this train back on the tracks. This mineral deal will be signed in short order, which will lead to a strong long-term economic partnership between the United States and Ukraine, and which will ultimately and naturally lead to security assistance.” This post appears to have followed a conversation between Representative Fitzpatrick and Andriy Yermak, the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
Even before the complete pause of U.S. aid to Ukraine today, the number of U.S. supply flights delivering equipment for Ukraine appears to have steadily slowed over the past month.
Average flights cratered over the last week.
