The Council of the European Union has approved the allocation of €3.5 billion ($3.81 billion) in aid to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility program. It is noted that this is the third payment to Kyiv under this program, as 13 requirements set by the EU Council have been met to receive the funds.

Clashes between Hezbollah and the Syrian Army are continuing to escalate on the border between Northern Lebanon and Syria, as major reinforcement including tanks, self-propelled artillery, rocket launchers, and drones have been deployed by the Syrian Army to the Homs Governorate. President Trump thanked El Salvador’s President, Nayib Bukele, for accepting around 300 criminals belonging to Venezuelan gangs who were previously imprisoned in the United States.

Since Venezuela was blocking deportations and there was a risk of these criminals escaping or being released by the Chavista dictatorship, the U.S. struck a deal with El Salvador to hold them in CECOT prison until an agreement is reached with dictator Nicolás Maduro.

Bukele stated that El Salvador will receive U.S. funding to keep the criminals in CECOT, though he did not disclose the amount.

Through this agreement, Bukele aims to secure another revenue source for his ambitious plan to make El Salvador’s prison system financially self-sufficient.

France will continue to deliver Mirage 2000-5F multirole fighters to Ukraine as it trains new Ukrainian pilots, per French President Macron.

After 2 deportation flights headed to El Salvador continued on after U.S. District Judge James E. Boasberg issued an order for them to turn around, Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele has announced that the first of 238 Tren de Aragua gang members and 23 MS-13 gang members arrived in El Salvador. The MS-13 gang members were wanted by El Salvador’s authorities and were sent in addition to those from Tren de Aragua.

Syrian media reports that a group of Hezbollah terrorists crossed into Northwestern Syria earlier today, attacking an outpost of the Syrian Army and kidnapping 3 Syrian soldiers back into Northern Lebanon, before filming their execution in a field near Hnaider.
