The Israeli Air Force launched a wave of airstrikes earlier today on Hezbollah military sites in Lebanon, in response to the launch of two rockets earlier today at Kiryat Shmona in northern Israel. The sites targeted in the strikes included Hezbollah command-and-control centers, terrorist infrastructure sites, launchers, and terrorists, in addition to a drone storage facility in the Dahieh suburb of Beirut.

According to a U.S. official who spoke to Axios, the recent deployment of between 5 and 7 B-2 “Spirit” Long-Range Strategic Stealth Bombers from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri to Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, a little more than 2,000 miles from Iran, is “not disconnected” from the recent two-month deadline given by U.S. President Trump to Iranian Supreme-Leader Ali Khamenei.
The U.S. Navy and Air Force has launched what appears to be the largest series of strikes tonight against Houthi targets in Yemen, since the strike operation began roughly two weeks ago. Close to 100 precision-strikes are reported to have been launched by both aircraft and naval vessels in the Red Sea, targeting well over 80 military and infrastructure sites, as well as other targets, in the Al-Jawf, Amran, Hodeidah, Saada, Sanaa and other Governorates.
According to U.S. defense officials, Houthi command-and-control centers, air-defense systems, ballistic and cruise missile launchers, drone launch sites, weapons manufacturing facilities, underground weapons storage sites and high-value officials, were targeted during tonight’s wave of strikes; with daily strikes against the Iranian-backed Houthis set to continue until attacks on Israel and international shipping stop, and deterrence in restored in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.

Satellite imagery shows 3 B-2 “Spirit” Long-Range Strategic Stealth Bombers on the tarmac today at Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, as well as possibly 4 others under hardened aircraft shelters, bringing the total B-2s that could be at the base to 7. In addition to the B-2s, at least 7 KC-135 “Stratotanker” Aerial-Refueling Tankers can also be seen at the base, likely to be used for whatever future missions the bombers get tasked with.
In his statement yesterday to the Senate Armed Services Committee on Strategic Forces, General Anthony J. Cotton, the Commander of U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), stated that Iran is continuing to expand its nuclear program by increasing its stockpile of highly enriched uranium, adding that Tehran had now reduced the time required to produce weapons-grade uranium for a nuclear warhead, from 10-15 days, to less than one week. Additionally General Cotton states that Iran’s work on space-based launch vehicles has also shortened its timeline to produce an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), which could have a range of 2,400 miles with a 2,200lb payload.

Russia has stated that for the ceasefire in the Black Sea to begin, certain sanctions against Russian banks must first be lifted and Russia must be reinstated into the international SWIFT payment system. According to Moscow, banks such as Rosselkhozbank, a state-owned bank linked to Russian agribusiness, should be removed from Western sanctions lists.
Interestingly, since the beginning of the Russian invasion, Russia has consistently dismissed sanctions and the removal of its financial system from SWIFT. The Russians even attempted to create an alternative to SWIFT but failed.
