I broke that mare in… (only one of the few I’ve ever done)

Can still remember that day and the person that took the pic.

She was the first to ever throw me… (the horse, not the photographer lol)

I went saddle and all over her neck. Hence the “crupper” in the Avi pic. The back of the saddle is held down with a leather strap that goes under the horses tail.

Was a catch22 though, it held the saddle in place but it makes the horse buck more until they get used to it.

She never threw me again. 🙂
