It’s a masterpiece.

Then audit Bitcoin and tell me again that Bitcoin can’t be trusted because it’s “backed by nothing.”
John Perkins basically talks about his experience working as an economic hitman, which had him persuading country leaders to take loans for development projects which only resulted in profits for the US and debt enslavement for the country. If the country refused, the CIA launched coups.
So it highlights how modern imperialism uses debt, corruption and economic manipulation to control nations.
It only has a few extra chapters and they cover a few stories from the last two decades, and it’s mostly about how EHMs are technically no longer needed to enslave the people because the banking system has it already figured out.
Wouldn’t buy the new book just for those chapters.

Interesting look into the IMF, World Bank, and the origins of the current system that enslaves us via debt and fear.
