Most of earth does not contain humans. The more humans that are born the higher the chance more inventors or people that create or inspire new philosophies are born. If we embrace nuclear power and robots we can dramatically increase our efficiency. This frees up time for people to solve more problems. I highly doubt the earth can only suppprt 10 billion humans.
I understand. To me though the future we seem to be heading towards will be difficult for everyone, but particularly difficult for those that don't take their privacy seriously.
It's also just nice to have sovereignty with your devices. Being able to install whatever programs you want without requiring permission from apple, windows, or google.
I grant you that mac and windows are much easier for the average person. Linux mint helps with this but most people seem to have no interest in grapheneOS with alternative app stores.

Can anyone tell me if my lightning address works?? I have lurked on nostr for quite some time but only recently started posting. I gave up on the 'primal' wallet and instead pasted a coinos url to my profile.
Thanks for pointing this out. I usually lurk on nostr buy had difficulty on primal finding where I 'activate' the wallet. Just decided on coinos instead and pasted it onto my profile. Can you let me know if it works? I am very uneducated on the inner workings of lightning and unfortunately do not run a lightning node.

So far I have convinced 8 people to learn about bitcoin and purchase some as they learn more, 2 people to join nostr, 2 people to use linux, however I am still struggling to convince normies to use anything other than ios.

One can defend the free speech of their enemies while also defending the rights of individuals to associate or not associate with who they wish. To hire or fire who they wish.
At the same time it is imperative to spread and contribute to a culture of tolerance. If everyone is yelling at each other and no mercy is shown, not much can be accomplished. We must strive for civil disagreements where both parties remain mature.
