scarcity requires trade-offs.

Most the bitcoiners in real life match that % but it does seem like a disproportionate number of the DBs seem to have a platform.

Hope that changes with a cycle or two more…

Any good takes on global liquidity tightening these last couple months? How much longer can central banks tighten before the fiat world squeals “UNCLE!”

What’s going to convince capital to fund bitcoin collateralized loans? If an investor buys into the bitcoin thesis, they should just buy bitcoin. Most debt funds won’t be in a position to invest in bitcoin collateralized loans due to investment committees / investment documents.

If Coinbase isn’t fully custodying the bitcoin in these products, NGU isn’t happening as much as the market is demanding.

Which is consistent with the incentive of every state that issues a money, globally. NGU is bad for governments.

Show me the incentive and I’ll tell you the outcome…

There is no capitalism with a centrally planned monetary policy. Central banks make capitalism impossible and communism inevitable.

Yeah, there is very little “capitalistic” about Musk’s strategies. His entire empire is built on and requires revenues from government agencies. Most - if not all - of which defy free market forces.

There is less opportunity and upside for people working in those blue collar jobs than there once was. Both immediate - like their ability to afford housing, transportation, and food let alone raising a family comfortably - and long term in the form of career paths.

If you’re 35 years old and an auto mechanic it is difficult to envision buying a house, raising a family, and owning your own garage against the backdrop of today’s financial and cultural landscape.

I believe people respond to incentives and so work consistent with the outcomes they believe are attainable.

In order for more bitcoiners to make their difference in the world, traditional assets have to get repriced in bitcoin terms. There are already too many “asset light” businesses, comoanies, etc. in the space. We need oil fields, manufacturing facilities, farms, apartment complexes, etc. run on bitcoin.

Bitcoin’s NGU is necessary to realize the future we talk about. nostr:note1m95w3ml3hkt9fxj5f355nuzrlhu4a7sx6y8d4tzrl3dzgpvrrd7qsszqqp

A consideration, nostr:npub1k7vkcxp7qdkly7qzj3dcpw7u3v9lt9cmvcs6s6ln26wrxggh7p7su3c04l … participating in the real economy - not running a hedge fund, podcast, newsletter, VC fund, digital start-up, etc. - requires a certain amount of confidence around the price for capital investment purposes. For example, if I owned a farm and was wanting to build out new fencing to expand my cattle operation, I would have to understand what the conversion rate is going to do over the next few years to understand the “best” time to make that investment.

It is actually critical to bitcoin’s viability to most of the real “doers” in the world that they understand and be able to “plan” (at least loosely) around purchasing power movements.

Alternatively, we just all wait for hyperbitcoinization to reprice all hard, physical assets in a stable Bitcoin conversion rate … that could be quite a long time to materialize during which time the real world “doers” are just stacking & hoarding sats while waiting.

Ready for the face melting phase of this bull market. 💯📈🔥🚀

hey nostr:npub1k7vkcxp7qdkly7qzj3dcpw7u3v9lt9cmvcs6s6ln26wrxggh7p7su3c04l, I saw Joe Consorti talking about m2 liquidity and how BTC roughly follows. Do you have any thoughts on liquidity over the next year. I think you've talked ahout how you're watching it

I believe there was a comment that the dollar has been strengthening relative to other currencies, which is what is creating this dynamic in the short term. nostr:npub1k7vkcxp7qdkly7qzj3dcpw7u3v9lt9cmvcs6s6ln26wrxggh7p7su3c04l said on nostr:npub1s5yq6wadwrxde4lhfs56gn64hwzuhnfa6r9mj476r5s4hkunzgzqrs6q7z that he expects the dollar to begin weakening by end of December, early January…
