Screenshots, audio clips, software techniques, mixing, #v4v tips, instrument demos...

All of that fits here.

Wow this post did not work the way it was intended to.

Excerpt from my CVANR project last year.https://m.primal.net/Hfbl.mp4

I've learned so much from both Preston and Luke over the last few years.

Calm, rational and smart as whips.

It's never the wrong things to do.

I've been doing this for over 20 years and still have loads of skillset holes to fill in terms of proper production techniques.

In the past I have often been too excited to pursue this element, drawing the next combination of sounds of of the ether was overwhelming in its enticement... but now I am beginning to see how implementing even the basics can inspire further creativity.

Instead of chasing algorithm-derived dopamine hits, you could exercise patience and operate with sovereignty. Far more rewarding.

Still has network effect. The app functionality is in a state of advancing decay, however.

I really want to see underground music embrace #V4V.

The youtuber / patreon approach is just realllly unappealing.

Music tech is really great these days. I have wanted a wavetable synth for a very long time and struggled (then failed) to get one going with both the disting module and then the axoloti.

I come back a few years later and Vital synth has a great implementation and is free. Amazing.

Randomly discovered a podcast recently that is just about personally tailored to my life (early 2000s #breakcore scene).

If you're curious about that subculture and the tools / methods that it used then these interviews are a treasure trove of information.

Trying to present the creator (Oxygenfad) with the idea of incorporating NOSTR and V4V as well.

Really surprises me that I don't know of any electronic music producers of any genre are not substantially into Bitcoin.

Generally, I would think, creative people are interested in new frontiers... especially for people that adopt new tech all the time (gear acquisition syndrome).

But for some reason it really doesn't seem true when it comes to money.

Returned to producing #breakcore again. It feels great.

Quite excited to see how much more you can do with FL studio since I last used it sometime prior to 2015.

My goal is the same as it always was: to make stuff that I like. If anyone else likes it, that's just bonus.

I also want to raise the level of my overall quality in terms of the sound, this is something I basically never tried to do before.

Ok, going to just start posting my thoughts here. I will attempt to maintain a consistent daily approach.

Mostly no one is going to see these for now. But perhaps I can create a base of information that can be seen in retrospect.

I am mostly hoping to help move listeners to a new way of interacting (both communication with NOSTR and V4V financial support).

Twenty years ago in the SLSK breakcore room there was a compiled list of these replies to the curious who would wander in and ask:

"WTF is breakcore??!"

Maybe that could be tracked down.
