Where in the world do you live that has open tee times right now ?
There’s no reason. Nostr rips too hard.
Fiat is backed by the full faith of the government that prints it. That faith can only be enforced by war and politics.
Bitcoin starves the war machine. It starves the political machine.
We’ve been lead to believe by inflation and the devaluation/inflation of currency that we need unlimited growth for shareholders. The unlimited growth for shareholders has destroyed nature, destroyed our humanity by what we market and sell (poor, cheap, subsidized food), destroyed our small communities, destroyed our local businesses who can’t keep up..
We’ve been lead to believe that we need to gamble our savings in the stock market to retain its value, leading to instances of sudden poverty for investors, and often old people ready to retire. If not poverty, 60-70% sudden reductions on down swings in the business cycle.
We’ve been lead to believe that it’s normal to work for scraps, scraps that lose value daily.
Fiat has carved a path of war, destitution and destruction.
#Bitcoin is the only deflationary currency that makes sense. Gold is too unrealistic because of its spot price markup, being brokered and mostly owned by governments, being traceable, and impossible to use online.
Bitcoin puts the power of currency back into the hands of the people. It doesn’t leave a path of destitution, but abundance. It doesn’t leave a path of war, but peace, togetherness, community. It doesn’t force us to gamble, it incentivizes saving, it incentivizes producing good products and services. It levels the playing field for everyone.
Yes. It’s the superior protocol. Getting on anything else is brain rape from ads and rage bait.
This could be making fun of itself though? What if that’s the point?
I’m a simple man. I see Osho and I zap.
Brand New is absolutely goated.
Couldn’t agree more. Massive fan of open source and I do not like the entitlement in the community. It’s always from people contributing nothing, too.
I almost exclusively listen to lofi beats when I code. If I don’t I use this application (Mac only) and listen to binaural beats with white noise.
To me they’re very dystopian. They’ve been marketed as a way to connect with people who aren’t there better. Realistically nothing will keep us less connected.
Humanity should start having big conversations about how far we are willing for our technology to go. I think that discussion should start right here. Up until now there’s been a degree of separation, but not with VR. With your iPhone you’re still in the world looking at a screen and you’re reasonably approachable by other people. At a movie theater there is a literal sense of togetherness with other people and you can see other people’s eyes.
I am a massive fan of the free market exploring these avenues. However the consumer ultimately decides if this is the path we want to go down. I don’t want my kids to use a phone, let alone a VR headset. How will I feel if even 10% of people are wearing those on at work? Outside? What world will my kids see? A sick, dopamine driven society? Worse than it already is?
I’m aware of the benefits with learning, architecting and working, but I wonder if they’re worth it. I wonder if we can even comprehend where this is headed.
Anyone ever feel like they don’t do shit at their job until they check the open PRs and you realize you might be the only one working?
These are the weird ass dreams I have when I drink IPAs
