I re-watched Taylor Ward getting hit in the face yesterday by an errant Manoah pitch.

Baseball is a beautiful game. It has a slow pace of play but the actual action happens so quickly. If an elite athlete cannot react in time to protect his face from a 90+mph pitch: it should be expected that hitters don’t have enough time to react when they guess incorrectly. Swinging at pitch outside the zone or taking one right down the middle is going to happen. Don’t get angry about it.

Hitting #mlb pitching is the most difficult thing to do in professional sports. Players only find success when they guess correctly and the pitchers makes a mistake. It’s a game. It’s all good.
