Bitcoiner, freedom tech enthusiast, bodger, ❤️ the world and its great people.

My first night in Indonesia and a 30 minute call to prayer started at 4:30am. Is everyone actually getting up?!

“But in a marketplace, “people don’t reliably ‘buy’ truths. People buy the ideas they like. And people don’t reliably like truths better than falsehoods”.

Very true. The art of debate to arrive at shared understanding of truth is being lost endless feeds of confirmative bias dopamine inducing groupthink echoes.

If you disagree I will ignore or seek to destroy you (is what we are led towards).

Sublime article but a little long in the tooth, I had to skim read a lot.

Stay humble stack sats.

I feel your frustration, X still has a grip on me and feeds my doomscrolling addiction, I will reach the same place as you soon but I am not ready yet.

I feel X gives me an insight into the “real” world that nostr is too small to provide. I want to watch the hunger games of normies rant and argue, nostr is too civilised.

I hate the algorithm is a dark box, what does it prioritise, “unregretted user seconds” is the claim, but all the shadow banning and engagement baiting is tiring.

I am not ready yet, but I am on the path.

Sadly it isn’t what it must be, but what it CAN be if you embrace it and run into the unknown. Keep running.

Primal is now on my home screen so I will see it more and use it more. Right? Right!

Identity trees with optional public links would solve this.

You have a master identity/key which can generate child keys, you use a different child per site/service which you can show only the child identity, or you allow it to follow the tree up to a parent identity.

You only share the private key for the child with the site/service, so if it is leaked the damage is contained. The parent key can also sign messages for the child key, so you could still go in an override anything the child does etc.
