Hi dear beejay πŸ₯ΉπŸ˜½πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–I'm so sorry for being gone. I wasn't well physically. I was also a bit worried about coming back because I felt really bad about it and wasn't sure if it would be ok. I started feeling better about 2 weeks ago. I hope you're ok and everything has been well with you? I missed Nostr and you and everyone. I love this place.

Freddy baby has grown quite a bit! I just posted a bunch of picsπŸ˜½πŸˆβ€β¬›

I'm definitely here to stay. I need this place of freedom and sanity. Purrs and nose boops from the kitties πŸ’• 🐈 πŸˆβ€β¬› 🐈 πŸˆβ€β¬› 🐈 🐈 ❣️ Hugs!

Meow hi everypawdy! I'm so sorry for dropping off. It's a long story that has to do with some chronic conditions I have had all my life. Sometimes it gets worse suddenly and then better again. I started feeling better about 2 weeks ago. Someone from Nostr came to check on me on our YouTube channel and now I really wanted to be back here right now.

That was really sweet.

Freddy baby has grown a lot! He's not fully grown, but there's not much missing 😸🧑 The kitties are all doing fine. They are happy and spoiled πŸ₯Ή

Cats in the pics:

1st: Freddy & Leo

2nd: Little Sonic & Freddy

3rd: Lisa

4th: Lily

5th: Hero the 3 legged kitty & Leo

GM Beautiful view!

Thank you! 😸

Happy new year #nostr ❣️😺

Wishing for peace, freedom and prosperity!

Freddy baby learned something new. He watched Tripod Hero chew on their box, just a little bit, without actually chewing anything off. Then Freddy decided to try it for himself and I guess he liked it🀣😹

πŸ˜„ oh sorry, that's when cats decide to start going very playful and silly all of a sudden. Usually by running around like mad. But they are having fun. They especially love doing this in the middle of the night. It's entertaining to me 🀣

Hope you're doing well!

That could be. Thank you, we're fine! Just checking nostr before I try to go back to sleep. (It's almost 3am here) The kitties are having the zoomies 😹

I know, it's weird. The whole thing is being done as quietly as possible. It seems it's not completely finalized yet. There seems to be huge pressure on the exchanges to delist privacy coins.

Which is how I found out the other day. I wondered why Monero wasn't available to buy on Kraken. Then looked it up, only to see the note from the exchange that they delisted privacy coins due to regulatory pressures in the EU in October. Privacy coins are available on the exchanges outside of the EU.

Then I found that all EU exchanges removed privacy coins already. They were even talking about banning non custodial wallets apparently. It seems the whole thing isn't even finalized yet and the process is still going on. That might be why there's no official law text yet.

I read that some countries are putting it into their own laws as well and some are going to be even worse about it. Germany is supposed to be one of the worst. I'm going to see what I can find in German tomorrow and I will try to find some official documents about it all.

It's definitely going on, but they really want to keep it as quiet as possible.

I'm sorry it's such a weird situation regarding official sources.

We get to watch a daily/nightly meet-up of crows at sunset. They always meet at the exact same spot. It's great to watch, especially for the cats.

It was very similar in Europe.

During my lifetime I remember middle and lower income people were doing fine in Austria, well into the 90s. Everyone could afford groceries, needed clothes and doing things for fun too.

Once Austria joined the EU, the regulations started. In 2001 they adopted the Euro and from that point, the cost of living went up from one day to the next. Which is true for every country that joined and especially if they adopted the Euro.

The population wasn't even for it, but we all know they don't care what the population wants.

I remember just buying the food I need without worrying. Now I have to really think hard about what to buy. No more yummy treats, just the bare minimum to eat. Can't even buy new clothes or shoes anymore, because the rent, heat, electricity, internet and food have gone up so much that there's nothing left to save. Heating and electricity have gone up again. Starting January, I will have another 100€ less to live on.

I'm working on getting out of this financial nightmare, but it will be a while.

Rant over.

It's all under the guise of "anti money laundering"... Lmao it's the gov's, politicians and elite types who are actually involved and responsible for the most money laundering and they are the ones acting like organized crime (because they are like organized crime, just with different labels and legalese).

https://www.investopedia.com/news/what-does-increased-government-regulation-mean-privacyfocused-coins/

"In the European Union in 2024, updated anti-money laundering rules were passed that prevent crypto-asset service providers from allowing privacy-enhancing cryptocurrencies or tokens to be listed, stored, sold, or purchased via their services. This updated legislation did not make peer-to-peer privacy token transactions or their self-custody illegal. "

The interesting/weird thing is that these developments were happening with hardly any publicity.

Its apparently still developing with more regulations likely down the line. And some EU countries go further on their own with bans and surveillance.

This development started earlier in the year as I found out now. Kraken notified that they will delist all privacy coins aling with other exchanges in October. Some EU countries banned them already like Poland and some others have too.

You can look it up, to see for yourself.

I think so too. I wish for nothing more than a stateless society with an actual free market.

I agree. Mass civil disobedience is the way for sure. I just hope there will actually be a mass amount of people disobeying.

As a side note, large enough non compliance was also how we prevented the mandatory covid jabs for all adults in Austria (we refused despite threats of prison and after prison was of the table, the threat was insanely high recurring fines). They had to abandon it all because they couldn't drag that many through the court system.
