Strom: Lightning Network and Nostr with OCPP bridge⚡️🧶⬇️
Made by the developer from Satimoto (Ross Savage), allow connect Lightning and Nostr facilitating payments.
What's OCPP?
OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) is a protocol of communication between Electric vehicle charging stations and a central management system. Also have possibility of change point and add others functions.
Strom with Lightning/Nostr
With Strom is possible change the point for accept payments via Lightning or zaps from Nostr. This can run in your own Umbrel per example or Hosted provider.
How works this system?
Each charge point is configured with a Nostr identify and LNURL-p address. The LNURL-P can charge point in the form of QR Code or LNURL.
Zapping the Nostr identify or making payments would initiate changing session over OCPP and having communication with vehicle.
Charging point from AVAILABLE to CHARGING, the status could be broadcast to a nostr relay as a NIP-33 Replaceable Event.
If the sessions started on Nostr the details will be sent via NIP-04 (direct message). Changing sessions events, KWs with a follow-up zaps.
Epilogue
Well, this idea is good, 'cause we could extend him for other sectors. Congrats to the developer for idea uniting LN and Nostr.
