We can certainly take the logic in this post to follow that we are now in an era where the messaging layer travels faster and is much more informative than our legislative layer. If we don't find ways to upgrade the way we elect our representatives and keep them accountable our laws and civil society will lag behind the speed of the internet (both money and information)
Looking at it as a citizen of Florida its crazy though my state isn't very far off from potentially committing a similar outrage. This just goes to show the importance of political participation. If all level headed people in Louisiana participated more in their civic duties this might not have ever come to fruition.
On the other hand, if a majority of the population did participate and this is how they want to run their state then who are we to judge?
Thanks! Im new to the protocol and Im excited to meet people using it. Will you be writing too or still getting used to it?
