This is excellent
Are Nests still the best version of Spaces on Nostr or has something else popped up?
the next Nostr Unconference will be in Tokyo & Hong Kong🇯🇵
1-3 November ⚡️Unconference in Tokyo 💜 Meetup in Hong Kong
Simultaneous streams of both for virtual attendees.
More to come~
We need your help naming them: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1fx4vTUykVHEbM_dpAnoMHzBAU-VQ9hQsJB8NA2SqH70/edit#
A lot of the name suggestions are pretty unwieldy when put into Japanese so for the sake of katakana speakers I’ll suggest Nostokyo (ノス東京) rather than Nostrokyo
Let’s see, what do I need to organize my life?
- A weekly newsletter on Nostr updates
- A weekly newsletter on Lightning Network updates
- A weekly newsletter on Bitcoin & macro developments
- A weekly newsletter on global news but focused on long-term trends
Yeah that would be fantastic
I’m glad it technically belongs to MSTR shareholders, not just Saylor, but yeah, prefer to see the “losers” in the current system accumulate BTC rather than the winners simply winning and winning. Unavoidable though, and at least there’s not the same Cantillon effect as with USD.
What’s a beer fucker?
As a bitcoiner, it’s good to be reminded that to the average person, most explanations of bitcoin sound the way that explanations of altcoins sound to us. A whole lot of decentralization mumbo-jumbo culminating in vague promises of a better world.
Gotta be compassionate and meet people where they’re at.
Is there a Nostr client with only zaps, no likes?
Very appealing to cut out low-signal engagement
Basically Stacker News but here
Yeah, I’ve been reminded of my YouTube days (Google Adsense), or even playing THNDR’s solitaire for sats, but I guess the good thing here is that there’s no advertiser in the middle
Nostr is one of those dangerous things where not only is it engaging, there’s also the promise of real monetary reward if your content is just good enough…
…and yet almost certainly an insignificant monetary reward compared to what you would earn if you devoted the time instead to honing a craft you could monetize in the future, Bradley.
Tokyo’s big, not sure exactly where the conference will be but I’d assume downtown so for lodging I’d recommend on or inside the Yamanote train line (it’s a loop)
Do they make electric toothbrush-type devices for cleaning moldy crevices, or should I borrow my housemate’s?
