I hate those scenes where the

character guesses a password based on objects around the computer or things they know about the person. Like give us a break srsly

I really struggle with procrastination, but a while back I learned this hack. Call it the "do nothing" strategy. It sounds counterproductive but is surprisingly effective.

If there's something you have to do but you keep putting it off, your mind will seek distractions. You might browse the web or flop down on your bed with your phone or even start cleaning your room.

But instead of distracting yourself, do nothing. Tell yourself, okay, I don't have to do the task, but I also can't do anything else. I'll just sit here (not sleep, just sit here).

Your mind will beg you to distract it with something, but if you just sit, pretty soon you'll start thinking about the task and how to tackle it, or how it's not actually that daunting, or how you really just want to get it over with.

And then it's much easier to get to work.

We often think of procrastination or laziness as doing nothing, but really it's distracting oneself with things other than productivity. Our minds hate to do nothing, they want to be stimulated, and the most stimulating thing is jumping from distraction to distraction (i.e. a social media feed), dwelling on nothing.

So the next time you're tempted to flop down on your bed, phone in hand, when you know you have something you should be doing and would feel really good if it were done, try doing nothing.

Bet you can't last two minutes doing nothing.

(Your eyes will also thank you for not jumping between computer screen and phone screen all day long.)

I often wonder if others know significantly more than me or if they just act more confident based on the same amount of info

Here’s a prediction that’s either bold or dead obvious:

All of crypto will eventually become stablecoins, security tokens, or in extremely rare cases (perhaps only one) commodity money.

Just uploaded an intro to my new podcast for CoinPost - "Beyond The Price".

Let me know what you think!

Help me cover #Bitcoin in Asia and take people past the price-watching and day-trading.

Trying to make a list of all the Asian #Bitcoin conferences in 2023 (past and present)

In the words of Anberlin, "Revolution's not easy with a civil war on the inside."

Oops, turns out when Primal says no nodes confirmed reception of your post, that doesn’t mean it didn’t send. Sorry for the spam guys

Trying to write a little intro episode for the new pod is totally kicking my ass

It's unreal the number of times I write half a post, delete it, try to rewrite it, give up, never post

Stoke is high.

Thanks for making it available on Amazon JP nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a!

First impression, I’m glad you didn’t go with one of those awful “gold bitcoin coins” images on the cover. Subtlety is next to godliness.
