GM nostr. Ignore the noise around runes and high fees. They can’t sustain it forever. Shitcoiners gonna shit coin, but the fees will come back down eventually. Just keep building.
Added vanity key pair generation to my Nostr swift core library.
Also did some tests and event sig verification looks to take on average about ~300 microseconds.
Will write some proper benchmarks soon, but I think this is sufficient for now.

Yeah my initial test was run just via swift test case which doesn’t do any optimizations. Working on an actual benchmark. Will post soon.
No stream today, but I did make a good bit of progress on Seer. Getting back into the groove. Will still try and stream again soon. 😃

Sounds cool! Have you measured the performance difference between checking signature and not?
In my nostr swift lib I did a quick test and seems like verifying signature takes an extra 2 milliseconds. I guess this can add up, but if it’s all done on background thread it shouldn’t be that big of a deal. Or maybe I’m just being optimistic. 😅
Thinking about streaming again later. Just need to get used to being watched even though not having many visitors. I guess the more I do it, the more comfortable I’ll get with it. 🙏
