We recently deployed Forgejo Guardian and built-in moderation tools for Forgejo are part of our roadmap – these are an active work-in-progress.
Anyway, sorry that you had to see that vile content. ~n
We are aware of an ongoing spam campaign affecting Codeberg users, and are deleting accounts that we are informed about. We are working on a solution, but ask for your patience and understanding.

There will be probably people available to go into details somewhere, though. ~f

"Off-the-shelf governance models for small FOSS projects?" by nostr:nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyqpqcguz2q5e5vkktggw9hha9lt06vgfhafr05nynnpcqqks8rd2qmyqmstujm (2024-12-20)

Anyone considering how to break the #StackOverflow #monopoly already? Any #federated alternative work in progress?
We are entering phase 2: We are shutting down the machine for hardware maintenance.
We apologize for the inconvenience. Next time we boot up, you'll see more RAM and faster storage!
Do you thank everyone who makes your software project a success?
Take the time today and explicitly send appreciations to those who don't send you code patches, but help with #design, #localization, user support, defining priorities, community management and so much more!

nostr:npub1jg05ny9uy39mykkdj7zrv32en39te90zp3rxg87vs6ldr8kkqcuqy8wlse The FLOSS community is diverse, this is an advantage. The diversity exists because commercial and non-commercial can coexist nicely in many places, so yes this is welcome on Codeberg.
There are surely places where commercial interest and concepts like "Open Core" undermine Free Software values, but it's currently out of scope to control this. The community of projects will decide about success or not.
To users of scoped access tokens on #Codeberg: Please read https://blog.codeberg.org/the-permissions-for-your-scoped-access-tokens-might-change-on-thursday.html to learn more about eventual security implications following a software upgrade on Thursday, August 10.
A new implementation might grant your tokens more scopes than initially selected.
