Last year I agreed to do a limited term contract with a major well known charity working with people at risk of homelessness.
Turned out I really enjoyed working with them, but though they've asked me numerous times to take a permanent contract, I can't do it.
I built my life so I can be free to travel and explore and do as I will.
Before I leave them for a bit (I've agreed to come back periodically), I'm going to put together something for the lads coming through the system who haven't always had the best guidance. They need decent role models, so I'll be introducing them to some of the old Stoics, with short quotes followed by a short exploration of the ideas.
This is the first time something outside of #Bitcoin has caught my attention for years.
There's a lot of people that have been let down by the fiat system. A lot of bad ideas embedded over generations.
Hopefully though, with a bit of work, I can help these people in some small way to understand the world around them a bit better.
Are there any ZBD users who got bored of waiting and created the #nostr account to just get on with it? I've got the app and go on there occasionally and every time I see the social bit it's always talking about a wait list...
From a technical PoV what's the hold up?
Finally watched Oppenheimer last night - heck of a good film. Definitely. Not sure I'd watch it a second time, but glad I went to see it.

It's taken a few weeks to build up my follows and interactions but I'm enjoying it. Like most things in life, you only get out what you put in.
I just looked on stacker.news and had a butchers at some of the threads, there seemed to be a lot of hate towards Nostr for some reason. Is this normal or did I just peruse at a bad moment?
I've had actual real life conversations that have degenerated to this level...the bot is good 😂😯
