There's a button on cpanel to instal node.js, I've been through the rigmarol of setting it up, but something confused me, it said I had to use SSH to upload files and had to create a key pair to enable that and the terminal, which only appeared in cpanel when that was done - I don't get why I can't just ftp the files to the locations like I normally would
I forgot to say GM before going off on one today ๐
Never mind - GM my #nostr and #bitcoin friends, let's have a great day if we can, eh? โ๐ค๐๐
#coffeechain #grownostr
A decade in, I guess I could wear that badge ๐งก
Never lost enthusiasm or hope for the cause in that time, either.
Gonna get back on the computer today. Have installed node.js on the server. Now just gotta figure out how to use the terminal within namecheap. Do I have to use that and install the libraries before any code ai write is able to call them? Or is it possible to load them via commands within the code itself? #asknostr
People frequently seem to ask what happens to the security of the Blockchain when the mining rewards slow down if the fees aren't high enough to pay the miners.
Here's an idea;
Large scale miners slowly wind down as profits drop, smaller scale miners using renewable sources all over the world carry on mining because it's a) cheap enough and b) critical to keeping the network running.
It was never envisaged that a number of mining companies would arise as they have or would go public, with all the dodgy incentives that brings.
This isn't what was expected but for now it's what we've got. It'll change over time. We don't need high fees to keep public companies afloat. Fee's won't matter, they'll just be a nice juicy bonus.
Yeah, sort of, I started reading about bitcoin in 2012, started accumulating in 2013, but also dabbled in shitcoins till 2018, then realised I was wasting energy, so didn't really become a maxi as such till around then - I don't think the term even existed back in 2018?! Can't quite remember lol ๐
I wonder if there are enough #British #bitcoiners yet for me to pass a note by hand from my home in Portsmouth on the south coast to my #bitcoin friends in the Isle of Man, Manchester, Birmingham and up in to Scotland....
Just got a 1 sat zap with what appears to be a hex string in the message
They seem to have forgotten that again recently around my way
just requested #brokenmoney now at the county libraries after requesting the city libraries :)
take 5 minutes and request your local libraries to purchase the book! make it accessible to the masses. nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a
Brilliant idea, will get on that tomorrow, boosting to remind myself ๐ฏ๐ค
This is awesome news but I'll have to wait till you do an android client for now
nostr:npub1yfg0d955c2jrj2080ew7pa4xrtj7x7s7umt28wh0zurwmxgpyj9shwv6vg mobile app is going to take the Nostr music experience to the next level.
Calling it now.
I can't see any notification, is this something they're working on? If so it'll probably become my primary music source over time
Just watched RFA Proteus leave port, looked it up as it's a funny looking thing that left with a large police escort - it's a new ship that's been altered and changed and is a bit Frankensteins Monster like now, which is kinda cool.

Unfortunately I fat fingered the best possible photo, but here she is, sailing off God knows where;

The view just now, lovely day considering it's October ๐๐ค

There were a lot more - in my home town, famously the most pubs per capita in the UK, even now, yet almost all of them are gone, and I'm not exaggerating, I couldn't count the amount of pubs that have been turned in to churches, community centres, flats, hostels, shops etc. It's tragic.
I woke up peacefully, later than I expected and have no need to rush today so it's the best morning for a while - hope your journey goes smoothly ๐
GM #nostr fam, hope you're all having a great start to the day ๐โ๐
